India has the among the lowest data prices in the world. It is so good that I don't even bother to connect to local Wifi when I travel in India and just tether my phone to work on my computer. Indians routinely have dual SIM phones with large data plans because they are so affordable. Ambani's launch of Jio is directly responsible for the low data prices Indians enjoy.
India has among the lowest drug prices in the world (and going lower still). People who visit India buy medicines to take home quite regularly now.
India has among the lowest cost payment systems in the world in UPI.
On the other hand, Tesla is protected from Chinese competition in the US market, keeping EV prices higher in America than elsewhere.
Prime Minister Modi has worked hard to create a competitive economy where the benefits flow to the average Indian. His government does not tolerate monopolies. He has also actively promoted and encouraged a massive surge in startups and that is the best signal of a highly competitive economy.
Directly due to Modi government policy, Indian startups are making major advances in low cost rockets and that poses a threat to SpaceX the same say the Chinese EVs threaten Tesla.
These are the facts Elon.
Elon Musk calls Ambani the “Prime Minister of India” and digs up old political funding stories because Starlink hasn't launched yet.
Interesting logic.
Musk himself spent $259 million helping Trump win in 2024. Does that make him the “real President of America”?
The US restricts Huawei over national security and imposed 100% tariffs on Chinese EVs, protecting American automakers, including Tesla, from Chinese competition.
But when the Indian Government requires Starlink to complete security checks, suddenly it's an Ambani conspiracy?
Here's what Elon conveniently ignores: Starlink, Jio Satellite and Airtel-backed OneWeb are ALL awaiting final regulatory clearances.
India needs better internet access, and fair competition is welcome. But Modi is the Prime Minister of India, not Elon Musk's customer support agent.
Apparently, American regulations are national interest, while Indian regulations are a conspiracy.
That's quite a double standard, Elon.
Starlink already has its Indian licence. Jio and OneWeb are also waiting for final approvals.
So how exactly is Ambani blocking you?
India welcomes competition, but regulatory approvals aren't handed out by billionaires.
Turning every business delay into a conspiracy doesn't make your argument stronger.
Elon, not getting approval doesn't mean Ambani runs India. Other companies face regulatory hurdles too.
BYD, a Chinese EV company, faces major restrictions in the US while Tesla benefits from them. By your own logic, does that make you the real boss of America?
Jio and Airtel are also subject to regulatory approvals. So stop turning a regulatory process into a conspiracy and spreading baseless propaganda just because things aren't going your way
Software that works in testing doesn't always survive production.
Real users, unexpected failures, and changing requirements reveal the difference between working code and good engineering.
