@_mrchaturvedi We run a Home Appliance (TV, fridge) retail store in small city. We have to handle every customer for minimum 20-30 min or sometime 1hr to sell a 12000/13000rs product which only gives 500rs margins. Now merchant has to pay MDR every UPI payment above 2000rs after paying GST.

Applying charges on UPI payments will only benefit 3 entities from USA -

1) VISA
2) MasterCard
3) Apple Pay (getting launched in October)

Looks like some babus and netas have been co-opted. The amount of leverage USA has on India is insane.
