@PPilotDeviation Yes, we tried the ThunderShirt, but sadly it didn’t help her. I hate having to sedate her, but it truly makes things much easier on her. Thankfully, it’s only once a year, and keeping her calm is worth it. 🐾❤️
Just activated a Trump Account for my grandson today! 🇺🇸
We’ll now be able to start contributing to his future.
Thank you, President Trump, for giving families like ours this incredible opportunity to invest in the next generation.
That’s great, PPD.
Our little dog already struggles with anxiety because of the abuse she suffered from her previous owners, so the fireworks send her into an almost panic-like state. We’ve found that pet-soothing music on YouTube, along with a mild sedative from our vet, really helps her through it. 🐾❤️
@FairchildL3853 I hate to admit it, but he makes a valid point. Our government no longer seems to belong to its citizens. It’s being sold to some of the most malevolent people on Earth.
Thank you so much for this amazing post , Dr Peterson.
As an immigrant to this nation, I can wholeheartedly agree. Before I moved here, I had a very different picture of America, because I believed the deception and misinformation by European media, who brainwash everyone.
Once I lived here and experienced the true America, I realized how wrong I was with my old anti-American stance. Do I have criticism of this nation and its government? Of course, since that is natural and it would be blind and naive to believe everything was perfect.
However, it is indeed the exceptionalism of this country that is envied by so many around the world.
I value this Republic, the Constitution and and the American way of life. Anyone who comes here with the intent to destroy this nation, needs to be removed.
Those who were born here, and now align with the most dangerous forces who vowed to bring this Republic down and transform it into a new dystopian version of 'their socialistic dream' by using All Means Necessary - those need to be labeled enemies of the state. Because they are.
God Bless America, and everything that has been achieved by those inspired by the American Dream. People from all backgrounds, who made America what it is. Those who worked hard to accomplish their principles. Those who built and designed. Those who live the dream by running successful companies that contribute to America's legacy as much as to their own.
We need to protect this Republic, because there is no other like America.
I wish you well, Dr Peterson and have kept you in my prayers. May your health be fully restored.
To the Americans:
I've travelled all over the world. I've familiarized myself with many places, and met many people. And I'm a Canadian, although I’m privileged to reside once again in the States.
And here's something I've noticed, and it’s a key element of America's continuing greatness:
You bloody Americans value success, and you believe in its existence.
This is something that doesn't really happen anywhere else in the world. Even in other free democracies—the United Kingdom; Finland, Sweden, and Norway; Australia, New Zealand and Canada; Germany, France, and the Netherlands (great countries all)—a counterproductive cynicism too often reigns.
Success is equated with exploitation.
Ambition is looked upon with contempt.
This happens sometimes in the United States too—particularly among the miserable progressives, who confuse their resentment, ingratitude and unearned skepticism with wisdom.
But in your great country, by and large, striving is admired and success celebrated.
This means that more people strive and succeed in the US than anywhere else. And it's increasingly obvious. You remain stunningly more innovative and productive than any people anywhere else on the planet.
And so I say, as all should who are fortunate enough to live in the western world, let alone America:
Thank God for the United States.
Thank God for the wisdom of its founders.
Thank God for its faith in the free market and in the natural rights of man.
Happy birthday, you damn Yankees and Southerners.
Long may your admirable country dominate the world.
Long may your freedom and hope provide an example to those suffering everywhere at the hands of their malevolent states.
May your two and a half centuries of unparallelled success be just the beginning.
Your country is the light of the world, and the city on the hill.
Thank God for the USA.
Happy 250th.
Dr. Jordan B. Peterson
@jordanbpeterson@PPilotDeviation I teared up reading this wonderful assessment of my country. Thank you, Dr. Peterson, for such a memorable and heartfelt post. 🇺🇸 🇨🇦
