And the other symptoms are on point as well. Wavering self esteem, derealization and dissacosiation, lashing out, the tendency to see things as black-and-white, moral ambiguity, it's just a well thought out show. I keep coming back to it in my head. I'm going to finish season 2.
So I am going through a breakup and I bingewatched the entire first season of The End Of The Fxxxing World and holy shit. There are not many shows that I see that realistically depict symptoms of ptsd and BPD without going "HEY LOOK AT HOW CRAZY THESE CHARACTERS ARE"
It is highly disturbing and won't be for everyone, but it is an amazing depiction of the way my brain works on BPD. Because the thing about it is, even though things aren't as bad for me as they are in that show, things often do FEEL that bad. Hence the title.
It's not for everyone, but it connected with me. If you have BPD or a personality disorder and can handle disturbing subject matter I'd reccomend it. I dont reccomend it if you get triggered easily, as there were a few scenes that were hard even for me to watch. Much Love.
Witch: [cursing me] you will get hit in the head with a basketball everyday
Me: whatever
[next day, watching game]
Announcer on TV: and it looks like he missed the shot so bad the ball left the stadium
Me: what
[theres a knock on the door]
