@sloflyer032 @_DanDoyle @PeteSampson_ You SHOULD be penalized if you were AWFUL in the Conf Champ game like BYU was and like Bama SHOULD HAVE been. If BYU dropped, Bama should have also dropped.

@D_Rak_75 @PeteSampson_ Look at what UGA did to FSU two years ago. I get that game didn't ultimately mean much, but UGA played that game. FSU played that game. No reason ND shouldn't play a bowl game this year. Imagine how we would treat Michigan or USC if they did this

@scriptcomes1st @_DanDoyle @StifflerCrypto @PeteSampson_ Everyone keeps mentioning injuries, but they aren't guaranteed. Again, just as likely to have an injury in the last game of the season (if we didn't have a chance at the playoff) or the spring game. But neither of those are skipped due to injury concerns

@scriptcomes1st @_DanDoyle @StifflerCrypto @PeteSampson_ Bowls, not "bowl's"...it's not that hard. Outside of that: why should everything be about getting back at ESPN? Maybe there are also reasons to play the game: player development, competitive spirit to prove the committee wrong, and love of the game.

My point is that if ND was 8-3 going into Stanford, there would be zero chance of us making the playoff. People are saying the bowl is meaningless...if so, why even finish out the season IF we were 8-3 instead of 9-2 at Stanford?

@scriptcomes1st @_DanDoyle @StifflerCrypto @PeteSampson_ Well, with that reasoning, what reason is there to play the last game of the season if you can't make the playoff? That is essentially the same as a non-playoff bowl game, is it not?

@Irishfootball12 @PeteSampson_ I don't have anything good to say about the ACC or the committee. But why should this be all about money?? Why not worry about the product on the field as well. Just not a good look; how would we react if Michigan, USC, or any SEC team did this? Not favorably, that's for sure

@Searn @PeteSampson_ Partial roster for sure. But it is the roster of guys who will play next year. Valuable for them and more football is more football. If people care about the Spring Game (myself included), they should care about the bowl game for similar reasons

@StifflerCrypto @_DanDoyle @PeteSampson_ OSU dropped because the team that jumped them played them. That made sense. Bama not dropping made ZERO sense. BYU not making it, I agree with. They were embarrassed by TTU twice and were the worst 2-loss team amongst ND, Miami, and BYU

@_ChadMeyers @PeteSampson_ He isn't, but that is the same with all other non-playoff teams. Carr and the OL will still play. Aneyas Williams, Micah Gilbert, Cam Williams, Bryce Young, and other young guys can get more valuable experience. Plenty would still play in the game

@JessePe6887 @PeteSampson_ Early start for next year starts with extra practices for the bowl game. Now they juat sit at home until the spring

@care612 @Crayskip @PeteSampson_ When is the last time ND lost a player for their career during a bowl game? Jaylor Smith's NFL career was altered with his knee injury, but he was still a pro bowl player. Other than that, you can't worry about injury as if it is guaranteed

@_DanDoyle @StifflerCrypto @PeteSampson_ I agree that this decision was complete BS by the committee. But there is a way to handle it and this isn't it. Take the high road and know that there will be changes to the selection process next year

@Frozynfrog @Crayskip @PeteSampson_ Same could be said about the spring game or fall practice (hell, Jagusah was lost during the 4th of July). Can't play the what-if game. And again, what about all of the extra practices that you miss out on for player development by sitting out?
