Good morning.

Last night at 8:51pm Mountain Time, the Valar Atomics Nuclear Operations team brought Ward 250 to 10kW thermal output. We held this power level throughout the night.

This is another historic milestone from the Valar team, marking first nuclear power by a startup.

ASML’s “we have never shipped an EUV machine to China” is telling on itself. Total lawyer answer. They know a decommissioned machine slipped through, at tremendous cost to American national security.

This is a five alarm fire. DC needs to wake up. Nobody has wanted to believe that China is close to EUV. Well, they’re close. If China can make advanced semis come 2028 or 2030 while America is still dependent on Taiwan and ASML, they win and we lose. Yes it’s terrifying when you consider the implications but burying our heads in the sand is stupid and self-fulfilling. We have to win. Whatever the future of warfare looks like in the 2030s, short of all-out nuclear exchange, it’ll be based on advanced semis. Semiconductors and immigration: get these right and we may have a country, get them wrong and we will not
