Absolutely delighted with our GCSE Politics results at Bangor Grammar. An outstanding 93.75% achieved A*-A, with 100% achieving A*-B.
A fantastic set of results from a brilliant class. I am incredibly proud of every one of them and all the hard work they put in. Well deserved.

A fantastic trip to Stormont today for our Year 11 class. Students got the opportunity to sit in the Chamber to listen to a debate on lowering the voting age to 16. They also got to question four MLAs: Deirdre Hargey, Stephen Dunne, Alan Chambers and Connie Egan.
Student: “Why should we vote for you?”. Tim said that he had “the network in place [including former PMs] in Westminster” to help North Down constituents.
Good start to our Q&A talk today. We just had Tim Collins this morning who shared his insights on military history and North Down, to name but a few. Alex Easton is due to speak next…
Stephen Farry was our final speaker today. Again, another good talk, which the boys really enjoyed. Student: ‘Why should I vote for you?’ Stephen’s response: I have ‘local knowledge’ and the ‘right values…I am a moderate’.
Alex wants to increase the number of police officers in the PSNI to make North Down safer. Alex also highlighted that he was passionate about animal welfare and improving the NHS.
