Coming far in life and then looking at an old picture in your gallery with people who are no longer in touch hits differently.
You zoom into it, stare at it for a moment, and feel the pain of realizing that neither you nor the people in that picture are the same anymore. It was the time that bonded all of you together and now everyone has moved far away, probably in search of a better version of themselves. Sometimes, for a new beginning, you have to lose your old version.
ppl don't realize how isolating it is to grow up thinking and knowing that nobody around you likes or had a crush on u. I genuinely think that it’s not possible to find me pretty in that way and that I will never find someone. when someone gives me a compliment my first thought is that they are either making fun of me or lying.
As long as i can hold my sadness , I won’t make it anyone else’s problem. It feel easier to carry it alone than to become a burden in someone else’s life .
you don't realize how much being left out has effected you until you realize you're scared to participate in anything without someone inviting you to join in
Nobody likes you when you're depressed.
Plain and simple. We can talk all day about mental health and how important it is, but the moment you are depressed, people start to distance themselves. They see you as negative, a burden, and someone too heavy to handle.
Somebody said “The love you receive from someone who knows how to be alone is the most sincere there is.
A solitary soul loves you by choice, not out of a need for company.” and that’s so true.
people think depression means your sad and crying all the time. depression for me is being stuck in a twilight zone. i can't think , i don't respond to things , nothing is interesting , i just feel empty. not sad , just blank. i have a lot of days like this and they are hard .
my red flag is that if you don't talk to me, I won't talk to you either. But not because I don't want to talk to you, but because I think if you don't want to talk to me, I should give you space so I don't bother you
has anyone else lost interest in keeping up with people due to mental exhaustion or is it just me. i just wanna stay in my little bubble. i feel safe here
yeah breakups hurt, but have you ever been a super talkative, enthusiastic person but slowly over the years and after trauma you watch yourself become more quieter and quieter to the point where that enthusiastic bubbly person just isn’t who you are anymore?
i always get the urge to watch a super depressing movie when i am already feeling low. something about seeing a character more miserable than me just hits different and idk its like weirdly comforting.
