Five Palestinians have been killed and others injured in an Israeli strike on the ground floor of the Al-Asale building in western Gaza City, according to local sources. Residents who rushed to help said a mother and her daughter were among those killed. The strike also caused extensive destruction in the area.
The deaths come despite the ceasefire that took effect on 10 October 2025. Palestinian figures say around 1,500 Palestinians have been killed and more than 5,000 injured in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire began. The overall Palestinian death toll since October 2023 has reached 74,040, according to Palestinian authorities

Some 71,000 children have been forced from their homes in Yemen over the past three weeks amid escalating conflict, UNICEF said Friday, warning that hunger and displacement are putting children at growing risk.
Akhil Iyer, UNICEF's country representative in Yemen, told reporters in Geneva that nearly 130,000 people, including 71,000 children, had been displaced during the period, with most uprooted from or within the southwestern governorate of Taiz.
"Conflict is driving hunger, and hunger makes children even more vulnerable to conflict," Iyer said.
