TW: suicide, abuse, revenge porn
A story of multiple betrayals.
Over the past few months, I have gotten multiple requests of the same kind for some help with the police. The same nightmare. A boyfriend during the relationship asks for intimate photos or videos. She trusts him. She says yes because she believes in their bond. Not out of fear. Out of love.
Then they break up. Maybe he found someone else. Maybe she ended it. Within days or weeks, he messages , “I’ll leak your nudes to your college, your parents, your workplace.” Or worse, he actually uploads them. Telegram groups. Porn sites. WhatsApp forwards.
The first betrayal! Her life shatters overnight.
Then comes the second betrayal. Her family feels she betrayed them and they feel ashamed and embarrassed of her. Often blaming her for what has happened. One girl couldn’t eat for a week out of fear. Another dropped out of her college because screenshots were sent to her college groups. One tried suicide.
The third betrayal is the worst as even the state/police behave as if it is her own fault.
Yes, these women knew they were being filmed. They consented at the time, because they trusted the man they were in a relationship with. The crime is not the filming. The crime is the betrayal! Using trust and love and a moment's vulnerability as a weapon after the relationship ends.
Indian law under BNS 77 (IPC 354C) does have a clause that says that even if consent was given for filming, if distribution happens without consent, it is still an offense. But in practice, police officers don’t understand this. They see that she only filmed it, or that she agreed to it, and immediately blame the victim. It becomes even more embarrassing and difficult to visit the police stations for the complaint. Also the worry, what if the videos leak from the police itself!
The maximum punishment under 77 for first offense is weak - 1 to 3 years. But convictions are far too rare. Most cases never go to trial. The girls are too scared, ashamed, cursing themselves. The boyfriends know this. They threaten, blackmail, and destroy lives with near impunity.
A kind of psychological terrorism.
Compare this to how other countries treat the same act.
The UK has a dedicated intimate-image offence under the Online Safety Act 2023.
Canada gives up to 5 years.
The US has the TAKE IT DOWN Act making it a federal crime.
Japan has a dedicated Revenge Porn Law.
We are still using the voyeurism section that doesn’t fit at all here. Or the generic IT act sections.
What can we do?
We should immediately have a standalone law called “Prohibition of Non-Consensual Intimate Image Distribution” – with a minimum 3 years, maximum 10 years for aggravated cases (blackmail, wide sharing, suicide attempt).
More importantly, serious Police training to stop this victim-blaming. This is not her fault.
As it is now, neither the law nor the system recognizes it for what it is. A digital sexual abuse. Sexual violence carried out with a phone and a grudge.
That has to change.
it is a patent lapse strategy.
Canada has the Patented Medicines Prices Review Board (PMPRB). It caps prices on patented drugs. Unpatented branded drugs aren't subject to it.
By letting CA 2601784 lapse, Novo escaped PMPRB regulation on Ozempic and Wegovy.
I donated around 60 litres of breast milk to the government hospital in Hyderabad and Chennai during my first year of post partum!!
Why does it matter? Just 100ml of donor milk can feed a tiny 1kg baby for several days. This donation could potentially support dozens of infants in the NICU. Donating is safe, screened, and desperately needed. Many NICU babies don't have immediate access to their mother's own milk due to medical complications. Donor milk acts as a vital bridge, providing immunity and nutrition during those critical first days.
It serves as a bridge for mothers whose milk may be delayed due to stress, illness, malnutrition or premature birth.
Donor human milk is proven to significantly reduce the incidence of Necrotizing Enterocolitis (a life-threatening gut condition) in premature infants!!!
Check your local govt hospital to see how you can help! #MilkBank #SavingLives #MaternalHealth

If you want healthy knees at 60,
you must train the muscles that protect them at 30.
Most people walk for fitness.
But walking alone doesn’t fully train the muscles that stabilize your knees.
Add these 5 exercises.
Just 15 minutes, 2–3× per week can make a big difference.
1) Copenhagen plank
Strengthens the adductors (inner thigh) critical for keeping the knee from collapsing inward.
2) Lateral lunges
Build inner thigh + hip strength and improve side-to-side stability.
3) Side-lying leg raises
Targets the glute medius, one of the most important knee stabilizers.
4) Glute bridges
Strengthens glutes and posterior chain, reducing knee load during walking and climbing.
5) Step-downs or squats
Improves knee tracking and joint control under load.
Total time: 15 minutes
Frequency: 2–3× per week
Small investment.
Huge protection for your knees.
Strong muscles protect joints.
Weak muscles overload them.
Aug 2025 → Ambani announces Jio IPO at RIL’s AGM
Sep 2025 → SEBI, within 30 days, coincidentally cuts mandatory IPO dilution from 5% → 2.5% for mega-cap companies
Mar 2026 → Modi govt quietly notifies it via gazette
Translation: ₹35,000+ crore of Jio equity that Indian retail investors had a legal right to access; handed straight back to Ambani.
The ledger that explains this:
→ Reliance-linked firms donated ₹545 crore to BJP via Electoral Bonds
→ Ambani’s Network18 leads ALL news channels in Modi govt ad spend
→ NEWJ (Ambani-linked media startup) ran ghost BJP election ads
They fund the party.
The party rewrites securities law.
This rule change isn’t regulation, it’s a receipt.
She, Kanchan Bai Meghwal (40yrs) an anganwadi cook in Madavada Panchayat, MP and she is a Hero. A Martyr of humanity.
This Monday around noon, kids at the Anganwadi centre were playing outside the facility as part of their daily routine when a swarm of bees suddenly attacked. Kanchan Bai placed herself between the bees and the kids. She saved 20 children.
Kanchan Bai quickly wrapped them one by one in Tarpaulin and mats available there, shielding them with her own body, and rushed them inside the centre.
She absorbed the full force of the attack, protecting those children who were not even her own. By the time the local villagers arrived she had collapsed. She was rushed to a hospital for treatment but did not survive.
Hero Kanchan Bai leaves behind a son, two daughters and a paralysed husband. She was the sole breadwinner of the family. In MP an Anganwadi cook earns Rs 4250/ month. Will the govt now stand by the family she left behind?
To me Kanchan Bai Meghwal is a Hero of Humanity, who laid down her life saving 20 innocent children. A Martyr who sacrificed her life for others.

Dear @Anurag_Dwary,
This is the power of your post. You stood up for Indore. Journalists took a cue everywhere. TOI Dedicates a full page. The late Appan Menon used to say, every journalist will grow up to realise that these are the bigger stories.

The reason why RAM has become four times more expensive is that a huge amount of RAM that has not yet been produced was purchased with non-existent money to be installed in GPUs that also have not yet been produced, in order to place them in data centers that have not yet been built, powered by infrastructure that may never appear, to satisfy demand that does not actually exist and to obtain profit that is mathematically impossible.
This is all we wanted from this initiative. So glad to see it already helping people - science, rationality, humanism and evidence. This is what works.
I am sure this got a lot of hate and counters- but the last paragraph- YES LAST is my focus—needs serious pondering. No-I will not beat myself up. We keep trying. We are let down by shady netas- venal bureaucrats- corrupt officials and a judiciary that WILL not award timely, exemplary damages EVEN in contempt petitions ! Hoardings, pavements , unplanned road work, absent traffic enforcement or planning is NOT on us. We follow rules and pay taxes, tolls and cess. RT if you agree!
A ₹12.35 crore under-construction ropeway collapsed in Rohtas dist, Bihar, during a trial run, days before inauguration. Not just the rope, but the pillars also collapsed.
We criticise the govt when they do bad work but rarely praise them when they do something good. That’s not right. So here’s the credit where it’s due. By making it so low quality that it collapsed before inauguration, the Bihar administration has saved many lives. If the quality had been even a shade better, it would have collapsed after inauguration and could have been catastrophic.
Thank you to whoever the honest people were behind this. I’m sure the entire ₹12.35 crore was spent on the project and nobody, from top to bottom, took any cut. God bless you for being the saviours.
This year, it definitely feels that Hindutva attacks on Christian places have intensified. Attacks on Indian Muslims and on their religiosity now appear to be an everyday occurrence. Rapists are getting bail, activists are in jail, infrastructure is crumbling, unemployment is rampant, the air in major Indian cities is literally poisonous, the judiciary is largely ineffective, democratic institutions like the ECI are now extensions of the government, investigative agencies have become primary tools for curbing dissent, mainstream journalism has become unbearable, social media is flooded with monetised hate speech, and citizens are buried in propaganda.
