Official Statement from BharatBox:
Owing to recent speculation surrounding The Sandbox ecosystem, we want to clarify who we are, what we’ve accomplished, and where we are headed.
BharatBox is a joint venture between @brincvc and @TheSandboxGame. We are not a branch of The Sandbox, but a subsidiary of Brinc with exclusive rights to the Sandbox platform in India.
Recent restructuring at The Sandbox has not impacted our operations in any way. There have been no office closures or layoffs at BharatBox.
Our full team remains active and committed, working closely with our valued IP partners and our vibrant community.
From day one, we have built BharatBox as a lean yet high-impact team. Through focus and collaboration, we have grown The Sandbox user base by 210% in India in just 18 months, and have also made India the platform’s largest global creator market with over 70,000 creators.
We have partnered with 33 Indian IPs and brands, powered the largest Bollywood NFT collection and increased Indian SAND token holders by 250%, along with 6k+ Indian NFT owners thereby launching culturally-driven Indian gaming experiences on The Sandbox.
These milestones reflect our commitment to meaningful, future-facing projects that shine a spotlight on Indian talent and culture in the global Web3 arena.
As we move forward, our mission remains clear: to keep onboarding gamers, empowering creators, and delivering unique virtual experiences that gamify India’s leading IPs and celebrate our growing, dynamic community. Thank you for being part of this journey!
With reference to the global outlook of The Sandbox, we look forward to the direction under @viewfromhk and for those wanting to hear more about The Sandbox, please refer to this interview from earlier today by @ysiu of @animocabrands:

At @MythoStudios, we joined this creative surge by bringing Lord Krishna to life through voxel art.
India’s creative future thrives on rediscovery and new visual languages can uncover a fresh chapter for storytelling.
While these collaborations are merely a blip in a much bigger revival arc, each one pushes the lens a little wider.
It is our duty to keep finding new mediums for tales that never age.
Indian cinema is quietly building something Marvel could never dream of: mythic multiverses.
From Baahubali to Kantara, filmmakers are turning India’s oldest tales into the country’s newest IPs.
Gods and ghosts that exist as cultural blueprints are being remixed for a new age.
Every corner of the industry has begun to boast world-building:
✦ Maddock’s folklore horrorverse from Stree to Munjya to Thamma
✦ Prasanth Varma’s superhero saga rooted in Hanuman
Mythology can thrive in any format, as long as the emotion stays larger than the medium.
What we need isn’t more platforms but better rails.
The kind that keep value flowing in the circles that created it.
Creators and fans are building the next frontier as BharatBox hands them the very toolkit they need.
Everyone talks about the creator economy.
Few talk about where the money actually goes.
Because somewhere between the upload button and your audience, money slips through invisible cracks.
Now picture a flipped chain:
Creator → Community → World
Fans fund, build, and benefit together.
Every like becomes equity, every story a shared stake.
Sounds like ownership done right, doesn't it?
And India’s creators are standing on a goldmine.
Have you ever been this locked in?
This is your sign to stop consuming and start creating.
Owning your work as a creator will always pay off in the long run.

Every milestone proved one thing: culture travels best when the community carries it.
Just a year ago, we were beginning to wrap up the Jab We Met XP., experimenting with what fandom-centric experiences could look like.
Back then, it was all ideas, chaos, and community energy. Fast forward to today, and BharatBox is bigger, bolder, and still building an immersive internet for a digital-first audience.
Tomorrow, we’re taking a little trip down memory lane.
But what comes next?
New platforms, new experiences , and of course, new ways to connect and build.
