#WATCH | Jaisalmer, Rajasthan: On Ramdevra inter-state fair preparations, SP Abhishek Shivhare says, “We have already held meetings regarding this in Pokhran, and a coordination meeting concerning the fair is scheduled for today. Regarding police arrangements, we will ensure proper deployment in areas that historically experience heavy crowds. Traffic management measures will be implemented to ensure smooth traffic flow. We will monitor crowded areas via CCTV cameras and also deploy personnel in plain clothes. To prevent any untoward incidents, we will enlist the assistance of the SDRF and other agencies…regarding the risk of drowning, we will engage SDRF divers. For devotees travelling at night, our vehicles will conduct continuous patrols; we will also ensure that radium tapes are affixed to the backs of devotees' bags and vehicles. #WATCH | Jaisalmer, Rajasthan: Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Jodhpur Division, Hitesh Yadav says, “The inauguration ceremony for the Jaisalmer Railway Station is scheduled for tomorrow; the Prime Minister will inaugurate it virtually. While he will be physically present at the junction station, he will virtually inaugurate 75 new stations across the country developed under the 'Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.' For the local program here in Jaisalmer, Union Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat will be present, and our local MLA has also been invited and will attend. Regarding the station's development, the total investment amounts to ₹140 crores. The station features various passenger amenities, including a 36-meter-wide air concourse…”

#WATCH | Jaisalmer, Rajasthan: On the security measures at the redeveloped Jaisalmer Railway Station ahead of its virtual inauguration, RPF Inspector Gokul Singh Shekhawat says, “…We have installed a total of 219 CCTV cameras covering the entire station and the circulating area, and our trained staff is actively monitoring the feeds. We are also maintaining close coordination with our counterpart agencies—such as the GRP—and various stakeholders associated with the railways, whether they are government employees or from the private/public sector, to sensitise them regarding security...”

#WATCH | Jaisalmer, Rajasthan: A 92-year-old retired Indian Army officer, Captain Chunnilal, who fought in the 1962 war with China and the 1965 and 1971 wars with Pakistan, has alleged that his land in Jaisalmer district was fraudulently mortgaged, transferred, and sold without his knowledge.

Former Indian Army Captain Chunnilal says, "After retiring from the Army, I came to Bassi. Before my retirement, I had served in the Kargil War. I fought that war not only for myself but for my country... Our family had fertile agricultural land near Himachal Pradesh... However, the government acquired our land for the Pong Dam project. The compensation we received was not enough... We were told that displaced families would be allotted land in Rajasthan... I was allotted land in Mohangarh. When I first arrived there, I found nothing but sand everywhere... Over the years, with great effort, we improved the land... Slowly, the land became productive. However, after so many years of hard work, someone fraudulently sold my land by creating fake documents and using an impersonator... I fail to understand how such a thing could happen... I am over 90 years old... Therefore, I humbly request that my case be transferred to Himachal Pradesh so that I can attend the hearings more easily and pursue justice..."

#WATCH | Jaisalmer, Rajasthan: Captain Chunnilal's son Multan Singh Thakur says, "My father is fought three wars for the country, and this is the fourth war he is fighting to protect his land. He is 90 years old... When we learned that our land had been registered on June 16 and the mutation was done on June 22... we immediately came here. We first went to Mohangarh Police Station, but they sent us to the PTM Police Station, saying it was under their jurisdiction. The PTM Police Station then told us to go to Kotwali because the registration had taken place there... We met the Tehsildar and the Patwari and informed them that someone had impersonated my father. The fake person claimed to be 75 years old, while my father is 90... We requested the Tehsildar to cancel the mutation, but he said his job was only to register the property and that we should go to court... Our FIR was also not being registered... Only after the SP intervened was an FIR finally lodged at the Kotwali Police Station. The SP assured my father that he would get his land back... For the last three days, we have been running from one office to another... My father's condition has deteriorated so much that he was falling asleep even while giving fingerprints. He is a heart patient, yet he remains determined to fight this fourth battle... I request the Himachal Pradesh government to help us... We have already spent lakhs of rupees, yet we are still struggling to recover our own land... Our land in Himachal was acquired for the Pong Dam, and we were rehabilitated here with the promise that we could build a livelihood... We were planning to install tube wells and settle here after years of hard work. But if our land is taken away, where will we go? How will we survive?... We are the sons of a soldier. We are not going to run away or give up. We will continue this fight. But the administration must also do its duty and provide us the justice and support we deserve."

For Captain Chunnilal, who has been running from office to office for 8 days, I even arranged a vehicle by taking a loan so that he could travel without worrying about taxi expenses... Today I am here for retired Captain Chunnilal from Himachal Pradesh, whose land has been fraudulently registered by brokers. He has all the original documents, yet no authority bothered to verify them. His land was sold for around Rs 25 lakh, and the money has already been distributed. This is the same man who fought the 1962 and 1971 wars for the country... Today, he is fighting his fourth battle, for his own land.... Is this good governance? Did leaders like Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, and Rani Lakshmibai sacrifice their lives to see such an India?... I fold my hands and request those in authority to listen to the problems of our soldiers and take immediate action to deliver justice to this 90-year-old veteran..."

#WATCH | Jaipur, Rajasthan: Mustak Ali produced in special court after arrest by Rajasthan Intelligence from Nachna, Jaisalmer for passing off information to Pakistani handlers.

Special Public Prosecutor, Sudesh Satwan, says, “…he was booked for providing information related to the country, the army, and the BSF to the enemy country, and evidence of this was found on his mobile phone. Some photographs, videos, and related files were found on him, which were sent to Pakistani handlers…he had a tea shop there, and from there he used to collect sensitive information…when his mobile was secured by the Rajasthan Intelligence team, it was found that a Google Maps Camera app was downloaded, and all the videos and photographs were clicked through that app. One unique feature of that app was that it could capture the longitude and latitude of the location of the photograph or video…in recent days, his activity increased, and he was regularly sharing files and videos…he was connected with the agencies and the Pakistani handler for a minimum of 2 years…the remand is till June 22…”

#WATCH | Jaisalmer, Rajasthan | District Collector Anupama Jorwal says, "The main directive was to establish a '360-degree security grid' at the level of each border district. This entails conducting a comprehensive survey to gather data on demographics like population composition, settlement patterns, agricultural activities, encroachments, and any major investments or construction projects. The survey will specifically focus on identifying encroachments and illegal structures. In line with these instructions, we have held meetings with officials and sensitised the revenue administration machinery. We have constituted a district-level committee... Similarly, we are forming village-level committees to conduct the field survey. The revised guidelines mandate that this survey cover all revenue villages situated within a 0 to 50-kilometre range of the border. Having received these instructions only yesterday, we are now revising our approach and proceeding with the work... Our teams are already on the job, and we have coordinated with the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and the Border Security Force (BSF). With everyone's cooperation, our administrative machinery will work over the next few days. We have set a target to have the complete information ready by Tuesday morning..."
