@HDFCLIFE Why am I not allowed to cancel my policy?
I requested cancellation on 14 Sept 2026, but HDFC Life says the free-look period has expired and so you can not surrender.
I don’t want to continue the policy. Please help clarify why I cannot cancel/surrender it?
@EurekaforbesIN eurekaforbes I need help with serious unresolved issues with my Forbes SmartClean Fully Automatic Cleaning Station (GVCDFSCFA00000), purchased on 15 Mar 2026.
Despite multiple service interventions, key issues remain unresolved. Sharing details below.
@HDFCLIFE Another concern: customers can change their bank details for auto-debit online and enable this feature online.
But when a customer wants to CANCEL the auto-debit, they are asked to visit the branch and provide an NOC.
Why?
I’m also told that to stop the autodebit, I need an NOC and have to visit the home branch
Why is cancellation/autodebit so difficult when buying policy was completely online and effortless?
This is creating unnecessary hurdles for customer who simply want to discontinue policy.
@HDFCLIFE I bought HDFC Life Click 2 Protect Supreme online to secure my home loan. The entire purchase process was quick and completely online.
Now I want to surrender the policy, but I’m being told I can’t do so until 1 year is completed.
@EurekaforbesIN Very disappointing post-sales support. The grievance team relies on the technician’s observation and keeps closing tickets w/o resolving the actual issues.
Please help resolve this rather than simply closing the complaint based on the technician’s observation.
I am not asking for another routine replacement w/o diagnosis
I am requesting
• documented technical explanation for the hair issue
• clarification of the 4BHK/hair-vo limitation
• refund of ₹780
• proper investigation of intermittent docking
• written root-cause analysis
But roller + motor were replaced & the intermittent docking issue still occurs.
If the roller was considered a possible cause, why does docking issue continue after replacing roller and motor?
One successful docking during inspection doesn’t rule out an intermittent issue.
Another unresolved issue: the robot occasionally fails to return at the station.
The issue is intermittent, so it did not occur during the technician’s inspection. I have already shared video evidence.
I was told it could be related to the roller.
I was also charged ₹780 for the roller replacement.
I understand a roller can be a consumable. However, this replacement was done in connection with Auto Hair Cutting issue, and the same issue has now reappeared.
I have requested the warranty basis for this charge and refund.
I understand that some routine maintenance is normal.
If the Auto Hair Cutting system is working as designed, why does hair continue accumulating around the roller-end/bolt area even after the roller were replaced?
Please provide technical explanation supporting this behaviour.
The technician’s explanation: my home is large so more hair accumulates & robot may not cut all hair. I was advised to clean the home in phases
But Eureka Forbes markets this model for up to 4BHK homes
Is “clean in phases due to hair volume” an officially documented limitation?
The biggest concern is the Auto Hair Cutting Technology.
After the recent service, the roller brush + motor were replaced. Day 1 looked fine. But on Day 2, hair was again tangled around the roller, particularly near the roller-end/bolt area.
