Such a childish level arm chair reporting. Clearly neither the reporter nor the editor have been exposed to the protocol required for a head of state for a country like India.

Snipers are standard for visits by high-risk heads of government. Counter-sniper teams are routinely deployed for visits by the US President, UK Prime Minister, Israeli Prime Minister and other leaders facing elevated threats.

Similarity, road closures and large police deployments are also standard. New Zealand Police themselves described the operation as "very significant" because of the stature of the visiting leader and warned of disruptions. Prime Minister Christopher Luxon likewise said New Zealanders should expect an enhanced police presence.

Venue security and route sanitisation is a routine diplomatic protection practice, doesn't depend on who the PM is.

Preference for avoiding stairs, if reported accurately, is more likely a risk-management measure than a personal quirk. Security agencies often minimise uncontrolled exposure points and unnecessary movement. It is a basic protocol.

Coming to "naps". Heads of government routinely have protected downtime during long-haul overseas tours. Calling them "naps" makes it sound whimsical, but in practice these are rest windows built into tightly managed schedules. CEOs, sportsmen practise this widely.
