Last night, #InimbaMzansi was honoured with Best Writing:Telenovela and Best Telenovela (Public Vote) at the SAFTA Awards. And in what made the night even more special, our very own Zenande Mfenyana took home the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Telenovela.

Three awards. One story. One incredible journey.

While awards are beautiful moments of recognition, the one that means the most is the one chosen by the audience, the people who open their homes to our story every single night.

When we first began this journey, we made a simple promise to ourselves: tell a good story. Tell it honestly. Tell it with heart. Tell it in a way that reflects the complicated, messy, powerful beauty of our lives.

We didn’t know how far that story would travel.

But you carried it.

To everyone who watches INIMBA, who debates the twists, who celebrates the victories and mourns the betrayals, thank you for loving this story the way we do. You have made these characters part of your homes, your conversations, and your hearts.

To MultiChoice and Mzansi Magic, thank you for trusting us with this opportunity and for standing behind the vision of this show. Stories like this exist because people are willing to believe in them.

Storytelling is a leap of faith. You create something and release it into the world, hoping someone will care. Last night reminded me that people do care. And we are only getting started.
