@its_muva@princessb_26 I understood you perfectly. The original post was ONLY about paying that's why I said it's about money. You moved the goalposts to chores in the second tweet. And again, being "head" doesn't mean he doesn't cook/clean, it means he leads. 50/50 or not there can only be one head!
@its_muva@princessb_26 "Indaba ye 50/50 ngiyayizwa anginandaba nayo but don’t man of the house me when I pay for half of everything" 🤷♂️Thats what you said
@princessb_26@its_muva Yeah, why get married if you can’t provide? 🤷♂️ But I’m not willing to live with someone who is selfish and might teach our kids to be the same. If you have the means to help but choose not to, that’s selfish to me. Ramaposa's economy is not friendly at all.
@AthenkosiSiyolo@_Bongekile_@Mothematiks Andiba understand'i abasisi banjani🤦♂️yaz kumnandi njani kwi relationship ekubhejwana kuyo, my current gf was the fist girl to ever buy me a gift. On our fist date at Grand Africa Café & Beach wandinyengezela i 6 klip xa ndizobhatala mind you she was not even working that time.
@_Bongekile_@AthenkosiSiyolo@Mothematiks Honestly, I think some people need to be much more honest with themselves about what they want from marriage before getting married. If you disagree on financial roles, household responsibilities and what ‘partnership’ means, marriage probably isn’t the place to figure that out.
@HeyThereZee_@hayin_uAvu He is! if you understood marriage you'd know that there's so much responsibility that comes with eligama "Intloko". Being “the head” isn’t only about who provides the money. It also means carrying responsibility, making decisions, protecting, guiding, taking care of the family
@KhomotsoKD Its not even about the surname now I know people who are happily married and still using their own surnames🤷♂️you should love me enough to help me put this home together without compromising my mental health( if you have means) and nam ndizokuthanda sele ungenayo ne cent.
@KhomotsoKD We dont understand marriage and we are not ready for it if sicing kanje. If you love your partner, you shouldn’t mind going 50/50 when you can, to help reduce their stress. And if your partner can’t contribute 50/50, you should also support them without holding it against them.
