Just saw someone say that migraines are not disabling so let me tell you about my beloved friend whose migraines are so bad that she can literally not move or tolerate any sound or light for three days when they happen. That’s three days without eating, lying in total darkness

I suffer from severe migraines for years now , I have visual distortions meaning I can nearly see when or if I’m able to open my eyes, I get half body numbness and unable to move properly let alone go to the toilet, I get extreme nausea so if I don’t sit or lie in a certain way for hours or days I vomit, light and sounds are penetrating and painful. My body thinks it’s being attacked so the cortisol running through my veins makes me on the bring of a panic attack . So imagine trying to use your mental health tool box to stop a panic attack when you can move . It is most definitely disabling and I wish the medication would stop it but you just wait in pain hoping something eases up
