@StefanMolyneux I worked in a private school for two years. Wealthy parents would have their children diagnosed with selective mutism just so they could apply for the unique abilities scholarship in Florida. It’s all a scam.
@megha_lilly I’m a homeschool mom. I could be wrong, but I believe both curriculums follow the classical progymnasmata approach. Sounds similar to Franklin’s method.
@Cernovich Not once did I ever see my family wave the Cuban flag. My grandparents learned English started businesses and loved this country with all their heart. My in-laws came from Iran the very first thing my MIL did was taking English classes. Different class
@Cernovich And it’s so important for your children to be a part of the kitchen experience. Let them peel all of the apples and make applesauce in the crockpot.
Little tasks every day make all the difference
@Cernovich My father was born and raised in Cuba. When his family spoke out against the government their home was raided and they decapitated the family dog.
@Cernovich Very common at private schools; especially when the state offers a school voucher for ‘disabled’ students.
I worked at a school where parents were having their doctors sign their kids off with selective mutism. Everyone has a disability
@RRR0BYN Girl mom to 3
The youngest two are 18 months apart
Those 2 1/2 years were amazing, but I was definitely on survival mode.
Now they’re nine, five, and four and they’re the best of friends.
@Cernovich Chicken thighs with root vegetables
Kids helped with the popovers… hubby works hard so I can stay home and homeschool the kids
Doesn’t have to be fancy and yet everyone is happy.
@MattWalshBlog Probably the same in Miami, too.
My mother‘s parents came here in the 60s. They learned English, started their own businesses and only waved the American flag. This new generation is entitled they expect you to learn THEIR language.
