Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma –which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. 🇸🇸
African continent has lost one of its finest in the names of Rt.Hon.Raila Odinga. Your selflessness and courage continue to be a beacon of hope for Africa and the rest of the world. Rest well Baba.@RailaOdinga
There is a story behind every person.
There is a reason why they are the way they are.
Think about that, and respect them for who they are.
Learn to respect people.
May the spirit of independence guide us towards a brighter future.
Let us forgive ourselves as South Sudanse for the betterment of our nation.
Happy 14th anniversary SSD 🇸🇸
The Norwegian Ambassador to South Sudan H.E Roar Haugsdal called on me today to discuss the current situation in South Sudan. He was accompanied by Torbjern Svanevik, First Secretary Political & Economic Affairs at the Norwegian Embassy in Juba
Separately, I also met the South Sudan Civil Society and Community Leaders.
We discussed the situation in South Sudan and how to descalate tensions.
I held talks with European Union Special Representative for Horn of Africa Ms. Annette Weber in Nairobi today. The envoy was accompanied by H.E Ms. Henriette Geiger, ambassador of the EU to Kenya. We exchanged views on developments in South Sudan and the role regional leaders and the international community can play to prevent escalation of hostilities in South Sudan and the Horn of Africa.
There’s so much hate speech on social media that won’t take SSD forward. We really need to unite so we can advise our elders on what they should do to take SSD forward . SSD is not for two tribes, it’s for 64 tribes, let us embrace ourselves as South Sudanese. #SouthSudan
What is so hard for President Kiir and the First vice President Dr. Riek Machar to come together and find solutions to the current crisis. We can’t afford another civil war.
The only solution to the ongoing crisis in South Sudan is to have free and fair elections, after all the remaining provisions of the agreement are implemented specially the security arrangements.Otherwise we will continue with such problems for a long time. #SSOT
SPLM(IG) and SPLM(IO) need to find solutions to the ongoing crisis in Nasir. We can’t afford to go back to war. South Sudanese are really suffering. I request our leaders to leave behind their differences and work for the interest of the people of South Sudan.#enough is enough.
The International community and the @_AfricanUnion need to take action against the Sudanese army. What we saw in Sudan (wad Madani) the Slaughtering of innocent south Sudanese is not acceptable and we demand for justice. #SouthSudan
