The Bihar Pavilion continued to attract a large number of visitors on Day 2 of Bharat Tex 2026, welcoming industry leaders, policymakers, textile enthusiasts, and other stakeholders eager to explore Bihar's rich textile heritage and emerging investment opportunities.

The pavilion was honoured by the visit of Dr. M. Beena @dchandlooms01, Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India; Smt. Rohini Sindhuri Dasari @rohinisindhuri, IAS, Secretary (Textiles), Commerce & Industries Department, Government of Karnataka; Shri Amit Prakash Yadav @icgujarat, IAS, Industries Commissioner, Government of Gujarat; and Shri Bhadresh Dodhia @bhadreshmd, Co-Chairman, Organising Committee, Bharat Tex. BIADA औद्योगिक क्षेत्र में संचालित इकाइयों की शिकायतों के समयबद्ध एवं प्रभावी समाधान के उद्देश्य से 15 जुलाई 2026 को प्रातः 10:00 बजे से आईजीसी मरंगा (औद्योगिक विकास केंद्र), पूर्णिया क्लस्टर कार्यालय में BIADA शिकायत निवारण शिविर का आयोजन किया जा रहा है।

शिविर के माध्यम से औद्योगिक इकाइयों को अपनी समस्याओं एवं सुझावों को अधिकारियों के समक्ष रखने, शिकायतों के त्वरित निस्तारण तथा बेहतर औद्योगिक सुविधा से जुड़ी आवश्यक सहायता प्राप्त करने का अवसर मिलेगा। अत: पूर्णिया-सहरसा क्लस्टर के औद्योगिक इकाइयों से अनुरोध है कि वे शिविर में सहभागिता करें एवं इस पहल का लाभ उठाएँ।

Bihar shines at Bharat Tex 2026!

Hon'ble Union Minister of Textiles Shri Giriraj Singh @girirajsinghbjp, inaugurated BharatTex 2026 today at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, marking the beginning of four days of innovation, collaboration and global textile excellence.

As the Partner State, Bihar marked its strong presence with the inauguration of the Bihar Pavilion by Hon'ble Union Minister of Textiles Shri Giriraj Singh and Hon'ble Industries Minister Ms. Shreyasi Singh @_ShreyasiSingh, in the presence of Shri Kundan Kumar (@kundan_ias), Secretary, Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, Shri Manoj kumar singh, Resident Commissioner, Bihar Bhawan, Dr. Bidya Nand Singh, Directorate of Handloom and Sericulture and Shri Mukul Kumar Gupta, Director, Department of Industries, Government of Bihar.

The Bihar Pavilion features leading exhibitors from across the state, including SAVI Global, Gramin Khadi Gramodyog Vikas Sangh, Gopalan Silk, Eco Tasar Silk Pvt. Ltd., High Spirit Commercial Ventures Pvt. Ltd. (HSCVPL), New Zeel Fashion Wear Pvt. Ltd., Earthomadic Foundation, Competence Exports Pvt. An MoU for Innovation, Sustainability, and Inclusive Growth

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, and the North Eastern Development Finance Corporation (NEDFi) for the implementation of the Water Hyacinth Craft Development Project under the Government of India's Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Programme. The MoU exchange took place in the august presence of Ms Shreyasi Singh @_ShreyasiSingh, Hon'ble Minister for Industries, Government of Bihar.

During the MoU Signing, Shri Kundan Kumar (@kundan_ias), Secretary, Department of Industries, Shri Aman Samir (@amandsamir), Director, MSME, Department of Industries, Shri Ashim Kumar Das, General Manager, NEDFi, and Shri Chandra Kant Das, Executive Officer, NEDFi, were also present on the occasion.

The initiative is aimed at transforming the invasive water hyacinth into a sustainable economic resource, creating new livelihood opportunities while promoting environmental conservation. Over the next eight months, the project will directly benefit 200 artisans, including 150 artisans from Saharsa and 50 artisans from Vaishali, through the establishment of Common Facility Centres (CFCs), comprehensive skill development and capacity-building programmes, product design and innovation support, and enhanced market linkages.

The project is expected to significantly strengthen Bihar's handicrafts and textile ecosystem by fostering sustainable entrepreneurship and expanding income-generating opportunities for rural artisans.
