Many marketers think that consumers now more than ever worry about what companies do for the environment. An article I found out that environmental messages in ads in the UK didn’t impact effectiveness. This is the opposite of what was expected. #mktg475 https://t.co/xzkMyEQp4n
@shayemccoyy@blairadowler I agree with this. A lot of brands used to find celebrities but I believe influencers on social media have a more relevant audience. Also they are easier but bring results. AI will be big in marketing and many other industries so the world is heading that way. #mktg475
@rlb00003@blairadowler I agree with you. Influencers are becoming a big marketing source even more than regular celebrities. Influencers are all over the world and there are so many brands can choose from which will really help them. Social media will become even bigger in marketing. #mktg475
@blairadowler In the future I think social media marketing will be the biggest way. The rise of AI will affect social media and other marketing aspects. Social media is forever changing so it’s unknown what it will really be like in the future. I think brands will still adapt . #mktg475
I found an article from AMA talking about the problems with subscription boxes. It states that 60-70% of customers return items from the box. However companies that offer preview of boxes allowing customers to skip are increasing CLV by 14%. https://t.co/sWhcQdyqhd #mktg475
@macey1525318@blairadowler I think this post by Sephora is a great way to get people to engage. People are looking forward to Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals so seeing a post showing deals will really get people to watch all the way to the end to see. #mktg475
@LoayzaKatie@blairadowler I agree that the bright colors make it really easy to draw you in. The post was a great idea because you want to engage and go to your local target because it’s such a good deal. Target knows how to get people into their store. #mktg475
@blairadowler I found this post by F1 to be engaging because by posting drama happening in the sport, it makes people want to comment their thoughts on it. I liked the post but many people commented their opinions which creates conversation and makes people are curious. #mktg475
In an article by MarketingWeek they said Christmas ad spending will reach 9.5 billion pounds in spending up 4.8% from last year. Due to inflation the cost of advertising has rose and brands are paying for it because they still see a benefit . #mktg475 https://t.co/MpRYyISHHZ
@macey1525318@blairadowler I think that’s a great idea. People love fun content and are more likely to interact with it when they have an interest in it. Building that deeper connection can really help! #mktg475
@sarals1924@blairadowler I think it’s a great idea. A lot of times people can’t make it to a game but still want to be able to support a team so livestreams would be great! Also mentioning seeing the environment is a good point that I didn’t think of. #mktg475
@blairadowler My client which is a gym could post more short videos showcasing the staff and showing interaction with the members. My clients target market most likely watch fitness videos and by making videos it shows the environment of the gym and people might want to go workout. #mktg475
@blairadowler In 2021 Lush announced they would stop using Meta platforms due to safety. I agree safety on social media is a big deal but I think it’s hurt the company. Lush stores are somewhat empty and I can’t remember the last time someone has mentioned a product on social media. #mktg475
Amazon is now allowing defect ads meaning ads that have nothing to do with what a customer might be interested in. As marketers we talk about targeting ads to relevant audiences. But it seems like Amazon is prioritizing money. #mktg475 https://t.co/XHGhtzKkBo
@JessicaTem4849@blairadowler I agree with this. I almost never see relevant ads from Walmart. It would be the most random things. I think they could do a better job figuring out an algorithm to target products better to its customers. #mktg475
@Derek_Alemany@blairadowler I agree, they were unprepared for the amount of users. What made it worse too was the Chipotle account replying to people saying if they went instore they would honor it. However people went instore and the stores said they had no clue what they were talking about. #mktg475
McDonald’s wants to reinvent their brand and digital presence. They want to be more globally digitalized and found that digital sales have been representing a large amount of sales. They are hoping more promotion and advertising will help sales. #mktg475 https://t.co/in729YLwe1
@daniellecann02@blairadowler I agree. I see their tiktoks all the time and people posting clothes they get. By incorporating trends it makes the content much more fun to watch versus it just being an ad. I can say I have been influenced by aerie posts a few times. #mktg475
@brooke_kistler@blairadowler I agree with you! Duolingo social media especially Tiktok is great with keeping up with trends. It’s fun to see brands create content based on trends and fun challenges. Really shows how involved they are and don’t just open the app to post every once in a while. #mktg475
@blairadowler I really liked Mclaren’s Formula 1 social media accounts. They use Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Tiktok mainly. I think it’s spot on because they show content that their fans ask for. They are also good at keeping up to date with what the F1 community talks about. #mktg475
