🐭🍕Tiny "street spirits" have quietly appeared along Zhongshan Middle Road. Created by China Academy of Art students together with Hubin Subdistrict, the playful art project is transforming overlooked street corners into fun little surprises, making this historic Hangzhou street feel like a real-life storybook.
You can see a mouse peeks out from a flowerbed, a rabbit sits beside a bench holding flowers, and even old manhole covers have turned into mini summer pool scenes. Hidden in the plane trees, there's even a tiny "pizza workshop" with a mouse chef serving cheesy slices.

🌿🌞 This year is officially a "double bumper year" for Tangqi loquats. Some early batches are already turning golden and will be ready for tasting this weekend, while the peak harvest season is expected to arrive in mid-May.
Visitors can hop on little trains, pick fresh loquats straight from the trees, and enjoy what locals call "the first taste of summer in Hangzhou". Prices are also expected to be more affordable this year.

🐈🐾In Hangzhou, there is a so-called "Cat Island" that looks more like a dreamy garden resort than an animal shelter: rainforest-style paths, giant lawns, flower waterfalls, even a private island just for cats.
Founder Zhu Zugang invested nearly 14.7 million yuan to create the space after seeing stories about abandoned pets. Today, 56 rescued and abandoned cats live there, many with their own climate-controlled rooms and daily care from vets and staff.
People weren't just coming for cats — they were coming for comfort, healing, and a slower kind of happiness. Now, this "Cat Island" attracts over 1,300 visitors a day, turning into one of Hangzhou's most unexpectedly popular spots.
