How would the media have reacted if these were the optics? Democracy is based on political dialogue. Demonizing the opposition is never acceptable, whether you say all woke democrats are pedophiles or all MAGA republicans are violent. The media should hold all politicians to that
The role of a free press is to speak truth to power. When the government tries to delegitimize all forms of dissent and mainstream media is OK with that, something is seriously wrong.
One year and one day ago #Kabul fell. Did you know Biden pressured Afghanistan President to minimize the Taliban threat days before that? Don't be surprised if you didn't. MSM chose not to tell you.

@JamBBarnes The facts are tragic and confirmed. Still, believing a piece of news can acquire the status of fact because of presidential imprimatur and massive coverage is a dangerous approach.
According to The Washington Post, reality does not matter. If mainstream media and the government say something unconfirmed has happened, it does not need proof to be a fact.
This CBS News segment is focused on the Saturday protest supporting the person who shot the rounds (killed by the police in a standoff) and the victim is described as "a neighbour who shared her own experience that night"

Earlier this week in Minneapolis, Andrew Sundberg shot through his neighbour's walls multiple rounds, some of which didn't kill the woman or her children by sheer luck.
This tweet is still up and no correction has been issued. In fact, NPR issued a correction to a subsequent tweet... to correct a typo. Ask yourself if this is balanced but tough journalism or if it looks like preventing the public from reading about something
It's not always about what you see but also about what you don't see. This is the current New York Times homepage and today's front page with, highlighted, references to the Fourth of July
There also is an important difference between those 2 effects. Republicans trust Fox much less than Democrats trust CNN. While only 11% of Republicans and 31% of Independents trust the media a “great deal” or “fair amount”, a whopping 68% of Democrats do

(2) The extent to which most normal citizens live inside a bubble of insanely curated, fear-provoking information could almost not be exaggerated.
It's like the 'FOX Effect'...but in reverse, worse, and basically never acknowledged by anyone outside the heterodox Internet.
The #ParentalRightsinEducation law takes effect today in Florida. Whether you agree with it or not, one thing is sure: MSM did not treat it fairly. From mischaracterizing it to making it hard to find for the readers, they did it all. Hard data shows how:

@NoLieWithBTC The ruling doesn't cover leading students in prayer, which the teacher used to do but gave up. This is a voluntary exercise by students with no compulsory participation or consequences for not doing so. Trust in the media is lost one tweet at a time
In the last few days, we've seen on Twitter all sorts of racist insults against Judge Clarence Thomas. Unfortunately, something similar happens in left-leaning media too: they seem to think using racist epithets is ok, as long as it's against a Republican

"conservative justices hold the power"
- Yes; 6-3
"aren't afraid to use it"
- Hold true to their principles
"make transformative changes in the law"
- Ruled in a way that @AP didn't like
In February, Sweden stopped prescribing puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones to minors, citing the lack of reliable scientific evidence on their efficacy and safety. If you've never heard of such an important change of heart, here is why.

#Chappelle turned down having his alma mater named after him. Criticism from the students shows they are "instruments of artistic oppression"- he says. But the real responsibility for kids thinking comedy is violence (worse than murder?) is on MSM
https://t.co/sPiQ5mscia
Dave Chappelle told an audience Monday night that his alma mater, Duke Ellington School of Arts, will not be naming its theater after him. Instead, it will be called the "Theater of Artistic Freedom & Expression."

2 days ago Biden signed an executive order charging the HHS "with protecting LGBTQI+ children and families from attacks on their access to health care". But do you know what the HHS position is on such an important issue? If you don't, here is why.

🧵Something "has been politicized to an irredeemable degree" and we should fight to change it, without any violence but with great determination. It isn't the Supreme Court, it's media outlets that would set the world on fire to push their radical agendas and sell a few more subs
🧵 Here is a "gift" version of a Washington Post article, so you can read it all without a subscription. The title is "How aggressively should liberals attack the Supreme Court?".

🧵 Left-leaning media maintains words are violence, but when it's their words inciting real, physical violence, it's OK. Even if a left-wing individual has already tried to kill a Supreme Court Judge.
