@BaldwinRoom27 @Baldwin_School My pleasure! It was so great to hear their voices and see their faces! I’m so glad they get to experience a little bit of a what they missed out on last year!
Making the jump to a sound wall next year! After studying the Science of Reading, it’s what my kiddos need!! Can’t wait to get it up on the wall @Baldwin_School
End of year gifts for the parents of my virtual kindergarten students. It truly was a joint effort this year and I can’t thank my amazing families enough! They absolutely were teacher’s aides of the year! @PSDRI_Schools @Baldwin_School
I used the Breakout Rooms in Google Meet for the first time and the kids loved being able to hang out and talk in small groups! We will be having 30 minutes of playgroup at the end of everyday for those that want to!
During lunch bunch today we played virtual hide and seek. One student turned off their camera and hid, while other students asked questions to find them! They had a blast and developed relationships while practicing language too!! @PSDRI_Schools
I got to “meet” with my MLL students from last year and read them a story while they ate lunch. It was so great to see their faces and hear their voices again!!!
I LOVE making virtual reading rooms for my kiddos! This is the one I made for our unit about the zoo. Each animal links to webcams at the San Diego zoo. Thanks to @epic4kids my kids can listen to and read all about the zoo!
Can’t wait to practice Power Words next week with this game! Making the words different colors allows me to double check understanding and let’s me know which card to move to find the turkey! Next up, letter ID version!
Morning message has been difficult to do interactively with my kinders. This week they will help me fill in the missing letter by listening to the first sound in the word. @AmericanReading @Baldwin_School
Not hail, rain, or SNOW was going to keep this teacher from “BOO”ing her students!! I dropped the bags in their mailboxes (no contact) as a surprise for when they get their mail.
6 weeks into school and my virtual kindergarten kids are rocking it!!! While virtually celebrating a boy’s birthday, another girl held up a sign she wrote that said “I am 6”. Getting in socializing and academics at the same time! @PSDRI_Schools
On Friday a student asked to do Play Doh letters, just the 2 of us. So Sunday morning we had a 45 minute virtual play date making letters and shapes and laughing a lot! We learned a lot about each other,
