At the end of Romans Chapter 12 Paul gives us some practical advice and a command that is tough to live by but absolutely Christ-inspired.
He says we need to get along with others & the best way to do that is by not being too proud. Not thinking too much of ourselves. We should have the goal of living in peace with our neighbors. Sometimes that might even mean turning the other cheek if we feel we’ve been wronged. Paul says we don’t need to take revenge for every offense. Sometimes we just have to move on and let God handle things. He urges us to be kind to everyone—including our enemies.
Vs 21 sums this section up very powerfully. Don’t let evil get the best of you no matter where it comes from. As Christians we need to overcome evil by doing good!
That is not easy—but it is truly following the example of Jesus.

Proverbs Chapter 19 highlights two character traits that are essential in the Christian life—integrity & absolute commitment to following The Lord. The two go hand in hand because if we really want to honor God and follow His rules we have to be honest in our every day actions. If we fear God more than we fear man or worldly consequences we will be honest and upright in ALL we do. Integrity is not a “sometimes” thing—we either have it or we don’t.
