Jude 1:7 NLT
And don’t forget Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring towns, which were filled with immorality and every kind of sexual perversion. Those cities were destroyed by fire and serve as a warning of the eternal fire of God’s judgment.
During the “arrogance” month of June, sexual deviants are celebrated. This was exactly the same sin that Jude said the Christians were being taught to accept back then. So Jude’s warning still applies, in that that our sinful country cannot escape ultimate judgment either.
God does not tolerate fake Christians who continue to sin if they know better. Examine your own heart and ask God for help to stop doing things you shouldn’t.
Jude 1:6 NLT
And I remind you of the angels who did not stay within the limits of authority God gave them but left the place where they belonged. God has kept them securely chained in prisons of darkness, waiting for the great day of judgment.
The US Office of National Intelligence revealed that Covid was a fraud yesterday. It was a US funded research lab leak. Fauci lied in his testimony and may face jail, just as Jude said the angels were jailed doing something they knew they weren’t supposed to.
Today, a pro baseball team refused to wear a multi colored sex flag on their uniform, they were forced to leave and forfeit. As Christians, Jude reminds us that God removed christians who refused to live righteously. So to align our heart to God, ask God for wisdom & forgiveness.
Jude 1:5 NLT
So I want to remind you, though you already know these things, that Jesus first rescued the nation of Israel from Egypt, but later he destroyed those who did not remain faithful.
Jude explains that God is both gracious and just. While He forgives, God did not allow for unrepentant sinners to enter the promised land. Yet the false christians promoted the opposite, so Jude taught God will destroy them, just as God did to the unfaithful who left Egypt.
@libsoftiktok Freedom of religion in the United States is guaranteed by the First Amendment to the Constitution, which was ratified in 1791. We are free to be Christian or Muslim or whatever, the MLB needs to stop forcing their views on people who don’t want to participate in their religion.
John and Jude have both been calling us to cancel out fake christians. Today, Jude reveals how to identify them. Christians who sin without ever trying to stop. This reflects churches who desecrate what is holy(marriage, life, body). As Jude teaches, have nothing to do with them.
Jude 1:4 NLT
I say this because some ungodly people have wormed their way into your churches, saying that God’s marvelous grace allows us to live immoral lives. The condemnation of such people was recorded long ago, for they have denied our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
After introductions, Jude immediately begins to address the fake gospel teachers and christians. He identifies them by observing that their lifestyle is against God‘s teachings. Just like all the fake ones that came before, these people will also be sent to eternal damnation.
Jude is the only NT book devoted to confronting fake Christians. He calls the church to challenge those who strayed from the Bible. He uses historical illustrations to counter the degenerate lives of the false church influencers. Looking forward to going through Jude together!
Jude 1:1 NLT
This letter is from Jude, a slave of Jesus Christ and a brother of James. I am writing to all who have been called by God the Father, who loves you and keeps you safe in the care of Jesus Christ.
-Starting the second to last book in the Bible together!
Jude, was a blood brother of Christ who didn’t believe Jesus was God, until Jesus resurrected. Just like the apostle John, Jude also writes to challenge the fake believers. Jude “called the church to fight” for truth during the persecution from Rome and false influencers.
Concluding 3-John, he gives a warm farewell to the true christians in Ephesus. We learned that John cares for the faithful and warns us to avoid false believers. In the same way, we should warmly greet true Christians and cast away false ones. Who are the faithful in your life?
John’s final letter concludes, expressing his desire to see the christians who stayed true to Christ. So until they meet, John wishes peace to them and tells Gaius to share his greetings with the other faithful ones. John expresses a deep desire to be with his christian brothers.
