We are committed to ensuring all our children from EYFS to Year 6 have access to good quality, affordable swimming lessons. All the children in the school have had weekly lessons this term at Cirencester Leisure Centre and this will continue after the October Half Term holiday.
Acorns Class are busy making hand puppets in Design and Tecnology this term. They have learnt how to design, create a template, cut fabric leaving an excess for sewing and joined fabric using a running stitch. They are very pleased with their progress thus far.
Mighty Oaks Class have been challenged to design and create their own device using electrical circuits as part of their science lesson. The children came up with a variety of designs including a burglar alarm , a scribbler toy, a buzz wire game and an illuminated face.
Oaks Class have been busy this week making electrical circuits. Having access to training and resources from @ogdentrust, we were able to make use of these wonderful circuit making kits.

Acorns Class are busy finding out what life was like in the past. We have explored household objects this week including a bed warmer, iron and cameras. Next week we will look at toys in preparation for our trip to @motoringmuseum.

Last month Oaks and Mighty Oaks class enjoyed an interactive visit from local author Christopher Edge. The children worked wonderfully together in teams to solve riddles inspired by Christopher's newest novel 'The Escape Room'.

KS2 children had a fascinating trip to the @CoriniumMuseum exploring the everyday life of Romans as told by evidence of their diet, clothing, games and tools. Mighty Oaks focused their learning around how archaeological evidence has helped us understand those who lived here.
