Pubs and cafes may be shut but people are out and about on bikes rediscovering life on two wheels, but surely car is the fastest way to get around, or is it? https://t.co/yYwfJmhRao
Bicester BUG featured on BBC radio Oxford’s breakfast show this morning, with our secretary Paul Troop speaking about EWR’s lack of solution for and engagement around the London Road Level Crossing.

This means that the least responsible cyclists cycle anyway, causing aggravation and resentment towards cyclists. More responsible cyclists either have to lock their bikes out of sight in unsafe areas, push their bikes the whole way, or stay at home.
With all the roadworks and🚦around Bicester at the moment, there's never been a better time to try cycling.
While the network isn't perfect (we're working on that), there's still a great variety of off-road and quiet routes you can take to get around.

It may seem crazy (we certainly thought so) but @OxfordshireCC's approved plans for the Banbury Road Roundabout would have seen all cyclists, many of whom are children on the way to school, forced onto a short 40mph section of B4100.
Bicester BUG notified the designers and officers during consultation, and again prior to planning approval. Despite this, the plans remained the same.
Finally, after submitting a formal complaint, we have confirmation that the path will now remain a Shared Path, as it is today.
Did you know that the approved Banbury Road Roundabout scheme would have removed the existing Shared Path, cutting off Elmsbrook for cyclists?
