In the past month Taylor Swift has continued a world tour, won her 14th Grammy, announced her 11th new album, and watched her boyfriend play in the Super Bowl and I’ve been “getting ready to dust” for the past two weeks.
Finally shared one of my favourite childhood movies with my own kids: the Journey of Natty Gann with @MeredthSalenger. Such a lovely movie that stands the test of time.
Great segment about New Year’s resolutions on @morningshowca this morning with Sonia Jhas. Appreciate the message of not setting ourselves up to fail! Love the idea of micro-wins and micro-shifts.
He was a statesman and a gentleman. I remember when Mr McCain was given a golden opportunity to perpetuate a lie about Obama during a presidential debate and he simply would not. Integrity to the end…as compared to some. Hugs to you.
My dad was an American hero. An icon. A patriot that will be remembered throughout history. I cannot buy a bagel without someone approaching me about how much they loved and miss him.
Trump is a piece of shit, election denying, huckster whose own wife won't campaign with him.
This woman would probably be in @PierrePoilievre ’s cabinet. Can someone in the media ask her… again … her position on women’s rights, particularly abortion? A yes or no answer would suffice. Canadian women need to be aware that politics and religion don’t mix. 👇🏻🤯
I’m not sure I’ll ever delete my Dad’s contact info from my phone. I know that doesn’t make a ton of sense. Anyone else feel this way after losing a loved one?
And if these were non-Indigenous settler communities with poisoned water, it would be declared a national emergency. It would be the #1 priority for government. Don’t forget this.
A great soul has passed. Rosalyn Carter, wife of President Jimmy Carter, passed away today at age 96. A humanitarian through to the end, she was a fierce advocate for mental health issues. She brought grace and kindness to the White House. She was a treasure. She will be missed.
THIS IS SO GOOD!!
Singer Pink sticks it to DeSantis and says she’ll GIVE AWAY banned books at her Florida concerts.
At her South Florida stops, the singer announced thats she’ll hand out a whopping 2,000 copies of four books that have been banned by various public schools.
“It’s especially hateful to see authorities take aim at books about race and racism and against LGBTQ authors and those of color,” Pink said.
All four books — “The Family Book” by Todd Parr, “The Hill We Climb” by Amanda Gorman, “Beloved” by Toni Morrison and a book from “Girls Who Code,” founded by Resha Saujani — have appeared on PEN American’s Index of School Book Bans.
What are your thoughts?
Anyone else think this is a FANTASTIC idea? 💙
