50 years of friendship between Bideford and Landivisiau celebrated on Saturday 22 August.
The Pannier Market Hall was filled with flags, conversation and the wonderful sound of the Youth Pipe Band. The 50th Charter was signed, gifts exchanged and glasses raised.

Public access defibrillator and cabinet at Bideford Fire Station were stolen overnight
This is a vital piece of life-saving equipment. If you have any doorbell, CCTV or dashcam footage from the area please report it to @DC_Police or call 101

From 7am, the team cleared weeds, brambles and overgrown areas across the town.
Also clearing a neglected area at Lane Field, Londonderry Estate, removing long grass and litter to improve safety for residents.

With support and funding from Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service Academy the Town Rangers have received training to use water rescue throw lines. Each Town Ranger vehicle is kitted out with a throw line should they need to perform a rescue of anyone on the Town Quay area.
December saw our celebration of the 40th year anniversary of the Town Cryer Mr. Jim Weeks. Jim started his role in 1984. Forty years on, Mr. Weeks was proudly presented by e with a portrait of him sporting his full Town Cryer regalia in the Council Chamber. #40yearanniversary
