Instead of feeling excited about my first major investment, I’ve spent weeks gathering documents, researching my options, and worrying about what happens next.

What hurts most is that I was depending on the dividends from this investment as part of my financial plans. I genuinely thought I was starting to build a better future for myself through investing.

I have now retained a lawyer, and a formal demand letter has been sent. At the time of writing this, I still have not received a response.

While trying to understand the situation, I came across online posts from other individuals describing negative experiences with the same person of how he scammed them

Since then, communication with the business owner has become increasingly difficult. Payments that were discussed never arrived, and after several explanations and delays, communication eventually stopped altogether.

The agreement was signed in the presence of a lawyer, and I paid through a bank draft. I believed I was doing everything properly and taking a calculated step toward creating an additional income stream through dividends.
