I'm taking a long break from X.
Beginning Sept. 1, I'll auto-schedule 1 post/week so the account isn't inactive.
I need to decide how I can best help people with my skills.
Also had enough of stupid news, negativity, degeneracy, and fighting that X pushes in my face.
Success for some people won't match what popular culture tells us success looks like.
Popular culture tells you success means spending huge sums of money on self-serving, shallow interests.
Success shouldn't be the road to ruin.
You should be getting rejections of some kind frequently:
Jobs, clients, funding, proposals, applications, competitions, even potential friends or dates.
If you aren't used to being rejected, you're living your life on autopilot and you're not challenging yourself.
Think of mindless scrolling through trash content as allowing strangers to pick your pocket.
They are stealing your time, attention, energy, and joy away from your life.
Happiness begins by realizing you are where you are for a reason.
While your individual circumstances may not always be happy,
if you were meant to be born in a different time and place,
you would have been born in a different time and place.
Most people don't really want to dramatically change the course of their lives.
The good news is, if you feel that way, there's a strong possibility you may be right to believe it.
If you get discouraged at times, that's a good thing.
It means you're taking your path seriously,
and you realize that the obstacles in your way are real.
Why do people spend too much time on their phones?
It's simple.
Whatever is on their phones is more compelling than what's happening in their lives offline.
God can and will throw a lifeline to you, even when you are surrounded by terrible circumstances.
Things that seem impossible to solve can be fixed or worked around. Changes can feel... supernatural.
That's because they are.
