This will be very special! 3-time New York Times best-selling author @AlPaul is a music journalist who has contributed to The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The New Yorker, and Billboard, and who has written two definitive books on the Allman Brothers Band - Brothers and Sister and One Way Out - and one on Stevie Ray Vaughn - Texas Flood.

He joins us this weekend as a guitar player and guiding member of the Allman Brothers family band Friends of the Brothers. We thought it would be fun to have local music fan and accomplished author, Philip Lee, sit down and ask Alan to share some of his best stories from his work on the Allmans, Stevie Ray and a whole lot more.

Our belief has always been that you should measure a festival by how inclusive it is. That’s why once again we’re seeing record investments in our free stages, buskers, workshops, and school performances. So, whether being in the middle of a tent is your thing, sitting in the comfort of the Playhouse or being downtown on the street all night soaking it all in, this event is made for you.

Harvest is well known for its discovery acts and this year is no different. Take a minute to check out one (or all!) of Brittney Spencer, Julian Taylor, Alejandro Escovedo, Maggie Rose and so many more acts that we’re sure you’ll fall in love with.
