One of the most common single reasons I heard for supporting Trump in 2016 among primary voters was "He can't be bought because he's rich and can self-fund"
You cannot support a man like this and love American freedom.
You are voting for a man who wants to make this country like North Korea. If that's what you want, say you love that. But don't wave an American flag and talk about how patriotic you are.
Once someone has literally incited a crowd to try to murder congress and started quoting Hitler at rallies it really is better to assume that when he says “bloodbath” he means “bloodbath” and treating it as the threat it is helps him less than helping him weasel out of it does.
BREAKING: Donald Trump is losing his mind. At his rally he just said Joe Biden defeated Barack Obama. Retweet so all Americans see Trump is going senile.
Thinking it through, had someone plotted to publicly lynch me but failed,I probably would not want to put him back in a position to try again.
Especially when he is asking to return to that position and seek "retribution and revenge".
I don't blame a rabid dog for having rabies and biting someone but I would fault the person who keeps petting the dog while his mouth is foaming.
I don't mean to compare Trump to a rabid dog .
That would be an insult to the rabid dog.

I can’t say it enough: I’m not a Democrat. I’m an independent. And I think more than a few Democratic policies are misguided and/or naive. But Trump is a menace, liar, clown, & hellbent on vengeance. He’s manifestly unfit for office. It’s America or Trump; you can’t have both.
22% of Arkansans live in poverty.
This should be the number 1 issue on every single elected official's mind every single day they serve in office.
Nobody gives a shit about culture wars when you're hungry, without shelter, or in need of healthcare.
I've been handling Social Security Disability cases through 4 Presidencies...George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Donald Trump, and Joe Biden. 2 GOP, 2 Dem. Each time the GOP is in charge, SSA goes to crap. Lack of funding. Each time Dems are in charge, things improve dramatically.
You know that thing Trump did to the RNC? Yeah. He plans to do that to every agency and organization: Everyone gets booted out….and replaced by Trump loyalists.
We are in the “Turn the heat up slowly on the Frog in a pan of water” phase….as we speak.
It’s all about November. If we fail….we have only ourselves to blame. When you think you’ve done your part to prepare for the November election turnout, double it: Do it all again.
Act as though “Enough” is never enough.
Personally I think siphoning off a portion of the immense wealth created by the American economy in order to ensure people can retire with dignity is a better idea than everyone working themselves to death so Ben Shapiro can enjoy lower tax rates.
You’re not going to defeat authoritarianism at the ballot box. You can delay its spread or delay its ascension.
It takes a cultural sea change. A rediscovery of democratic duty, power, and consciousness. Authoritarianism feeds on its absence. That’s the crux of the whole thing.
Trump had full control for 2 full years 2017-2019
POTUS
SCOTUS
HOUSE
SENATE
DOJ
Immigration bills passed = 0
Borders closed = 0
Wall money = 0
Illegal immigration soared up to a new record in 2019
Tax cuts for billionaires = 1
Karla Jacinto, the woman behind the story Katie Britt shared in during SOTU, told CNN she was never trafficked in the US
She was not trafficked by Mexican drug cartels, but by a pimp who entrapped vulnerable girls to force them into prostitution, she said

Imagine if Biden owed 100 million to someone he raped and Jill Biden was MIA on the campaign trail and 91 felonies were hanging over his head and he painted his face orange and named his daughter the head of the DNC and just had dinner with a dictator at his gaudy country club.
Some of yall have forgotten that we already tried the ‘let the fascists win’ thing in 2016. We didn’t get a revolution or socialism; all we got was a far right Supreme Court, a botched pandemic response, and crashed economy. Only stupid people would want to try that again.
If I may, there’s something I need to get off my chest.
As democracy remains under siege, it has been frustrating to watch how the press covers politics these days.
I am reminded by lessons that came to me during the Nixon years as a CBS News correspondent, which I’ll add here:
1. Enough with Both-sides-ism
When one side lies intentionally and repeatedly, they are no longer entitled to the benefit of the doubt. They should be held to account, right away. Do not simply repeat the narratives they spew.
2. Prioritize Live Fact-Checking
Rigorous and robust fact-checking is the best defense against misinformation, intentional lies, and deflection.
If Trump says the sky is green, the story isn’t that the sky is now green; the story is that the sky is still blue and Trump got it wrong.
3. Ask Lawmakers Hard Questions
Ask about the fundamental principles of democracy. Push them to go on the record that Biden won the 2020 election.
Ask if they support the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
This writing is not to offer any claim of knowing it all. Your correspondent has made his share of mistakes, but after more than seven decades I believe I have picked up a few useful guideposts.
Good journalism is always worth it. Our democracy depends on it.

1. Trump’s great-grandpa was a pimp.
2. Trump’s dad was arrested at a KKK riot & indicted by DoJ.
3. Trump stole from US vets w/a fraudulent online U
4. Biden’s accuser just admitted it’s all Russian disinfo
5. Calling Jonathan Turley a prostitute is deeply offensive to whores.
On the day I die, a lot will happen.
All the important appointments I made will be left unattended.
The many plans I had yet to complete will remain forever undone.
The calendar that ruled my days will now be irrelevant to me.
