The MoU was signed in the august presence of Mr Sanjiv Kumar Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, HCL, Dr Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, Director (Operations), Mr RVN Vishweshwar, Director (Finance), Mr Ghanshyam Das Gupta, Director (Mining), Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh, Vice Chancellor, Central University of South Bihar, Gaya along with other dignitaries.

Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) has planned an ambitious expansion plan to augment its ore production capacity to 12.4 Mpta from current level of 4 mtpa and as part of the expansion huge volume of engineering consultancy work would be required for project execution/DPR preparation etc and to take it forward an Memorandum of agreement signed between HCL & EIL to collaborate in the field in engineering/critical mineral/feasibility study in new. Business model. The signing took place in presence of CMD, HCL and EIL board members by the signatories of HCL & EIL.

Welcome Programme for the Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs) / Management Trainees (MTs) -2026 & 2025 batch was organized on 17.06.2026 at Kolkata.
The programme was aimed at formally welcoming the young professionals to the organization and acquainting them with the company's vision, values, operations, and future growth plans.
The event was graced by Mr Sanjiv Kumar Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, HCL who joined through Video Conference, Dr Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, Director (Operations), Mr R V N Vishweshwar, Director (Finance), HCL, Mr Ghanshyam Das Gupta, Director (Mining) who was connected digitally, Mr Harsimran Singh, Chief Vigilance Office, HCL, and other senior officers of HCL.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by the senior management, who extended their best wishes to the trainees for a successful and rewarding career with the organization. During the session, the trainees were introduced to the history, achievements, organizational structure, and key business activities of the company.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr R S Sajwan, ED (HR), HCL Corporate Office , expressing appreciation to the management and all participants for making the event a success. The induction marked the beginning of an exciting professional journey for the Graduate Engineer Trainees and Management Trainees and reflects HCL’s commitment to nurturing future leaders.

Malanjkhand Copper Project, the flagship Unit of Hindustan Copper Limited has observed the World Environment Day 2026 with great enthusiasm. Shri RVN Vishweshwar, Director (Finance), HCL planted a sapling as the Chief Guest of the observance. Shri Nagesh Shenoy, Executive Director & Unit Head, MCP presided over the celebration attended by senior executives, registered Union BKMS (represented by Shri Hemant Bhagat, President and Shri D R Patle, Secretary), representatives of contract agencies, and media persons. All the members present during the observance took the oath of protection of the environment, read out by Director (Finance). Around 80 saplings were planted on the day.
As a prelude to the World Environment Day, about 30 saplings had been planted on 3rd June 2026 at Pastefill Plant, MCP under the leadership of Shri Nagesh Shenoy, Unit Head, MCP and in the presence of Dr. N P Shukla, Environment Advisor to MCP and representatives of MPPCB.
The postlude of the observance was marked by plantation of 50 saplings on 06.06.2026 by students of Kanya Shiskha Parisar Birsa, and members of MCP Ladies Club headed by its President Smt. Nirupama Shenoy.

A TB screening camp was organised at Malanjkhand copper project admin office and in mines office on 6.06.26, in collaboration with state government health department under the 100 days TB mukt Bharat campaign. TB awareness talk was presented by doctors of MCP hospital .TB awareness pamphlets were also distributed. 75 employees/contract employees were screened for TB sputum test, Xray screening was done for 35 persons.
