@JTERogan Genuine question for clarity: under NCAA bylaws, room & board is part of the athletics grant-in-aid. Are you saying some schools are reducing that aid and replacing housing support with NIL/rev share, or is this about additional money on top of the scholarship?
I’d like to announce that my recruitment is now 100% open, and I am no longer committed to the University of Akron. Please respect my decision as my focus remains on finishing my current season & competing in the state championship. @On3Richie@247Sports@RivalsHS
Since October, I’ve been exploring what’s next for my career.
While deep in interviews, I recently was invited to speak to 150+ @UOSOJC students on entrepreneurship (thanks @damianradcliffe!).
Grateful for the journey ahead
🚨 BREAKING: A new bill just dropped that would let college athletes unionize + collectively bargain.
Today, Congress is weighing two competing visions for the future of college sports. More in the thread below (1/6) 🧵⬇️
On a potentially historic day on Capitol Hill - when an all-encompassing college sports bill could advance out of committee - two Democrats are reintroducing a bill that does permit what many within the industry crave: collective bargaining with athletes

Which model wins:
— Bargaining tables 🧑⚖️
or
— NCAA guardrails 🏛️

All good things must come to an end.
My time with @TempleUniv working for @Temple_FB in Player Development & Business Development (NIL) has been a surreal experience. Every moment has been a lesson in growth and impact.
Excited & grateful for what’s next for me!
House v. NCAA settlement is a big step forward, but some athletes stayed on scholarship but were barred from school-run NIL programs due to medical retirement, roster status, or other policies.
If NIL is about fair access, I wonder how these cases will be handled.
