Finally read the original Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton. Obviously a novel idea at the time, it’s also clear what Spielberg decided was worth keeping, what changed, what was saved for the sequel and what was wisely scrapped. The final 3rd of the book is an absolute mess.

I have wanted to make this into a movie or streaming series for 20 years. Assumed it was an undiscovered gem in the Roald Dahl library just waiting for me to be ready to take it on. Glad it’s getting made and in good hands with Wes Anderson. Locked down cameras and all.
