I almost got fired over a $7 mistake.
At least, thatโs what I thought.
I was working a retail job when a customer came back furious.
The receipt showed sheโd been overcharged by $7.
Not $70.
Not $700.
Seven dollars.
But she demanded to speak to a manager.
My stomach dropped.
I was already struggling to pay rent and couldnโt afford to lose the job.
The manager reviewed everything.
Then asked me to wait in the office.
For 20 minutes, I sat there imagining the worst.
Matheus Cunha scored again yesterday. ๐ฅ
Some people questioned the signing, but the quality has never been in doubt. When you combine flair, work rate, creativity and goals, this is what you get.
10 goals in his debut season for Manchester United and still building momentum. Add his recent goals for Brazil and it's clear Cunha is growing into a player who can carry the attack when it matters most. ๐ง๐ท๐ด
The confidence, the swagger, the end product... Old Trafford finally has a forward who plays with personality.
More to come. ๐
A single visitor fit wipe out your birds!!!
Did you know that.
Just one visitor with dirty shoes fit wipe out your entire poultry flock or catfish pond. No be play play.
Biosecurity no cost money. Na negligence dey cost pass!
Disinfectant footbath for entrance no be option, na your first line of defense.
My fellow farmers, make we yarn true: when was the last time you change the water and chemical inside your footbath? ๐
When Sarah and Daniel got married, everyone said they were the perfect couple.
For the first year, everything felt easy.
Then real life arrived.
Daniel lost his job.
Sarah started working extra hours to keep the bills paid.
Instead of supporting each other, they began arguing over the smallest things.
Every conversation somehow ended with someone saying, "You don't understand what I'm going through."
Their children noticed the change.
The house that used to be filled with laughter became painfully quiet.
Dinner was eaten in silence.
Birthdays felt like ordinary days.
One evening, Sarah found a pile of unpaid bills hidden in Daniel's drawer.
He admitted he'd been too ashamed to tell her how bad things had become.
She burst into tears not because of the money, but because he'd carried the burden alone.
That night, they stayed up until sunrise talking honestly for the first time in months.
They realized their biggest problem wasn't the lack of money.
It was the lack of communication.
They made a promise to face every challenge together instead of blaming each other.
The road wasn't easy.
There were still financial struggles, disagreements, and difficult days.
But little by little, trust returned.
The laughter came back.
Their children smiled more.
And they learned that a strong marriage isn't one without problems it's one where two people choose to solve those problems together.
A boy and girl were part of the same team for their high school sports competition. The girl had a crush on him for a very long time, but was not sure how to say it to him. In spite of that she mustered some courage, and casually said,
"Heyโฆ. You know what?"
Boy: "What?"
Girl: "You have the prettiest smile
I have ever seen."
The boy's eyes glittered and he replied, "You know what?"
Girl: "What?"
Boy: "That smile exists only because of you!"
Some men don't stay for love.
They stay for access.
Cooking.
Comfort.
Emotional labor.
Stability.
Things you provide without even realizing your value. He doesn't stay because he values you.
He stays because he values what you provide.
There's a difference and high value women learn to see it.
Let me say something many students don't want to hear.
Your CGPA is not the only thing your lecturers can influence.
They can also influence whether your scholarship application becomes competitive or ordinary.
I've seen brilliant students struggle because they couldn't get strong recommendation letters.
Why?
Because no lecturer really knew them. If your only interaction with a lecturer is:
"Good afternoon sir, please I need a recommendation letter."
You're already late.
I know this because I have written essays for so many masters and PhD applicants.
Academic networking starts long before application season. Build relationships before you need favors.
