Our Hornet XC squad did some mile repeats during practice and then volunteered to pack for our local Backpack Buddies program. The team packed 4 weeks of food to help kids in right in our community.

There is a Fall Sports Meeting on Tuesday, Aug 3 at 6:00 pm in the HS gym.  We will have a XC meeting after that to go over our cross-country scheduling, policies, and answer any questions.  A reminder that practice will officially start on Monday, August 16th at 8:00 am.

Congrats to XC team member Christian Noble on winning another individual State Wrestling Championship yesterday. Christian, who also qualified for State XC, is a 3 sport athlete, top notch student, and incredible leader and person. Well done Noble!

Congratulations to Kade Layton, Owen Layton, and Christian Noble on earning a trip to the Minnesota State Cross-Country Championship Meet. Glad all three are back next year so maybe we can actually go to the state meet.😃

Congratulations to Emilee Doperalski for her 9th place finish, Josephine Lentz 11th place, and Josie Parks 15th. All three earned All-Conference Honors. It was a great day to be a Hornet!

The forecast for this morning looks like thunderstorms could be popping up through practice. We will cancel our practice this morning. Make sure you get your runs in this weekend-check the schedule. Practice at 4:00 on Monday at Liberty.

Wednesday’s and Friday’s practice will drop off and pick up from Liberty Elementary’s bus parking lot near the entrance to the soccer field parking lot.

Reminder that practice starts tomorrow at 8:00-9:30/45am Drop off and pick up will be at the main gate of the football field. You must be registered through the activities website to practice. Come masked as you enter practice for check-in. Contact Coach Trutna with questions.

The 2020 XC Clothing Store is now open. Check the Team App or the school’s cross-country website for links. The store will close on Aug 20.
