Today marks the release of "The Shield of Hiltcrest" -- the first book in the @gargadusa universe.
Dive into the deep lore of the realm of Irda as you follow Ulric Halfgrim's arrival in the port town of Hiltcrest.

Today is another big day in my world -- my first work of fiction is now up on Amazon (you can read it for free on Kindle Unlimited).
Writing this book was surprisingly transformative. I had so much fun making @Gargadusa (the video game) that I wanted to tell a story (or two) inside of that universe and it just slowly turned into a book.
It's not a big novel (130 pages), but it's a start to a passion and a joy that I didn't know I had -- and I'm excited to write more and continue to build out this universe.
If you like high fantasy slice of life stories, you'll find yourself right at home with this one.
If you haven't checked out "Gargadusa's Tower" yet, you can play a free version on https://t.co/j55rgUbLvP.
The first book from the Gargadusa's Tower universe is now available for pre-order on Amazon!
The book is a wonderful story that is the first proper lore drop (of many to come) and will be available for free on Kindle Unlimited on May 7, but it can also be pre-ordered on Amazon now in both digital and physical editions.

Amidst all of the hacks and exploits this week, remember to protect yourself before you hop on that quick biz dev intro:

Check the meeting link, get the all-clear, then join.
I've seen too many buds get hacked, it's time to be smarter before accepting that podcast invite.
My dudes!
Over the last six months, a few of my buds have been hacked by fake zoom/google meeting links -- and it's been brutal.
So! I decided to build a tool to verify meeting links.

This is especially helpful for my biz dev/ecosystem homies like @Parkk___, @vohvohh, and @tonymargarit when meeting new folks.
In Gargadusa's Tower, your guild staff are much more than stat stick bonuses, they're characters. Complete with zodiac signs, personality types, skill ceilings, and opinions.
Here's what each one does and why you can't survive without them.
Buy iron cheap in Spring, sell potions to desperate raiding guilds in the Fall.
Sell the contract for a bad apple Adventurer or poach a rival's aging veteran for pennies before anyone else notices -- then hire them as instructor when they retire.
Gargadusa's Tower has a living, breathing economy.
Actual supply and demand drives price action from week-to-week across 100+ raw and refined materials, piles of gear, and even Adventurer contracts -- all tracked in a full 52-week history.
All while 30 rival guilds are constantly trading with each other and providing liquidity for all of it.
The tower isn't the only game in town.
There are 41 classes in Gargadusa's Tower.
Here's one: Geomancer.
One of the strongest damage dealers, Geomancer is a rare ranged damage class that specializes in both magic and physical damage.
Every guild needs one.
Most guilds can't afford to keep one (or find one).
