I’ll be vulnerable and say as I say every June 2: I’m the only person on the planet (let alone a Tiger fan) that thinks he was out..or at least that Joyce had a legitimate reason for the safe call.
*Armando ice-cream-cone bobbled it a little bit.
*umps are trained to watch the foot on the base and listen for the pop of the ball in the glove.
*The sequence of events was:
1) Ball is kind of caught [while Joyce watches the base]
2) Foot touches base
3) Joyce looks up as the ball is being re-secured
4) Call is safe

Nonetheless the following day was one of the great moments in sports history.
