@Element921 @broskiFGC yeah I think the most obvious play for Kobayan is to jump, which is why he didn't and why Kawano didn't grab out of the teleport. When it became clear that Kobayan wasn't jumping, he was like "fuck it i guess i'll grab"

@The_ViRu5 This is like a near impossible situation to grab someone walking back that quickly as Zangief. Here what I do is buffer a half circle late into drive rush and then do an ultra delayed up and punch. Literally max distance SPD. Usually you stop early in your run to do a half circle

I saw a twitter clip I can't find about how to extend your SPD range with DR SPD. Here's it working against a walking back Chun-Li. I usually have to stumble slowly in drive rush for a while. Now I can just teleport them into my loving arms!

@TheAgonistt @Snake_Eyez_ I'm going to have to agree to disagree. There's a reason that in this situation the vast majority of times you see the burned out player use heavy punch, a throw or a single button for a super they've been buffering for the last 10 minutes. Because it's easy

@TheAgonistt @Snake_Eyez_ What's nice about tundra storm in this situation is the simplicity of its input. You can do it in 3 frames without too much difficulty. getting an SPD here is asking a lot. Heavy punch is good generally but I'm not sure it would have gotten the kill here

Zangief can now combo from a trade with the opponents buttons with the first hit of his EX-Lariat. This used to let the opponent continue their combo, now Zangief gets the combo instead.
