Most conversations about terrorism in Nigeria start from the wrong place.
People lump every armed group together and conclude:
“They’re all terrorists.”
They’re not.
Different groups have different motivations, funding sources, recruitment methods and end goals.
Understanding those differences is the first step to understanding why some conflicts disappear while others refuse to die.

Nigeria’s insecurity isn’t one single conflict.
It’s several conflicts happening simultaneously.
Broadly speaking:
📍 South-South: oil theft, pipeline vandalism and Niger Delta militant groups.
📍 South-East: separatist violence largely linked to IPOB and its armed offshoots.
📍 North-East: Boko Haram, ISWAP and other jihadist insurgents.
📍 North-West: banditry mixed with jihadist expansion and illegal mining.
📍 North-Central: communal violence, farmer-herder conflicts, illegal mining and the growing influence of armed groups.
Even though these conflicts sometimes overlap, their causes are not identical.
That means their solutions cannot be identical either.
lol, Malian JNIM is the most successful terrorist group in Africa rn.
And an article by @ADFmagazine highlighted how Russia is exploiting the situations in Africa for selfish interests.

Troops destroy ISWAP hideout, recover weapon in Borno clearance operation
By: Zagazola Makama
Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have destroyed a suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorist hideout and recovered arms during a clearance operation in Gubio Local Government Area of Borno State.
Sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation was conducted at about 9:30 a.m. on Saturday following credible intelligence on the movement of terrorists around the Layi general area.
The sources said troops of 145 Battalion (Mechanised), led by the Commanding Officer, mobilised to the location where the terrorists, on sighting the advancing soldiers, fled in disarray.
The troops subsequently overran and destroyed the terrorist hideout before exploiting the area, leading to the recovery of one pump-action rifle and three AK-47 magazines abandoned by the fleeing insurgents.
The troops also projected force to Mallamti Ganyawa village as part of the operation but made no contact with the terrorists.
The operation was completed without casualties, and the troops returned safely to base at about 2:45 p.m.
Military sources described the general security situation in the area as relatively calm but unpredictable, adding that troops remain on high alert while sustaining offensive operations against terrorist elements across the theatre.
To wrap up #PowerandPlunder, we have a few bonus episodes. Our first intallment of that is the story of MKO Abiola, the president who never was.
Did the government kill MKO Abiola?

By 2028 at most, you’ll see this replicated on Ijebu-Ibadan expressway, as our father and president has approved the road for dualization.
The best president we have ever had.
I was on this road last December with my big brother, and we were almost crying. The road was under construction, and we spent hours travelling from Ijebu to Lagos. I’m happy to see the current state of the road now—the Sagamu–Ijebu Ode Expressway.
NNPC Is Treated Like A Government ATM, Money Goes Out, Nothing Goes In - Oshoma
Shortly after this government came into office, the former NNPC Group Chief Executive Officer, Mele Kyari, secured a $3 billion loan. The question we asked was: Is it the responsibility of NNPC to borrow money on behalf of the Federal Government? Beyond that, there is the issue of the forward-sale agreements, with NNPC repeatedly stating that a significant portion of Nigeria's crude oil has already been committed. The saddest part is that these matters are now before a Senate committee exercising its quasi-judicial powers under Sections 88 and 89 of the Constitution.

The Renewed Hope National Media Tour continued in Imo State with an inspection of the ANOH Gas Project (Assa North–Ohaji South Gas Project), one of Nigeria's largest natural gas developments and a flagship project under the Federal Government's Decade of Gas Initiative.
Located in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area, the project is designed to boost domestic gas supply, improve electricity generation, support industrial growth, reduce gas flaring, and create jobs.
Commissioned by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in May 2024, the facility has already commenced commercial gas processing and is supplying gas to industries, with operations steadily ramping up towards its full processing capacity of 300 million standard cubic feet of gas per day.
The project also provides the energy backbone for the Orashi Special Energy Free Trade Zone, positioning Imo State as a major hub for investment, manufacturing, and gas-based industrialisation in Nigeria.

Some achievements of ONSA-NCCC are kept off media radar for operational security. The team at the N3C is working tirelessly & I encourage them to sustain the tempo. It’s also worth noting the commitment of NSA Nuhu Ribadu to our national cybersecurity. Pls continue to MopDemAll.

Tinubu is a blessing to Nigeria 🇳🇬 🔥👇
In 2007 they said “Kosi Koro Kosi Ibo” meaning No Obanikoro, No Votes
For years, he stood toe-to-toe with Bola Ahmed Tinubu in one of Lagos’ fiercest political battles. Then he disappeared from the centre of the political conversation. Now, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro is back—and in one of his most candid interviews yet, the former Minister of State for Defence, former Ambassador to Ghana, and now Director-General of the Lagos APC 2026 Governorship Campaign opens up on the defining political lesson Tinubu taught him, why he now calls him the master of the game, the battles, the betrayals, the comeback, and what lies ahead for Lagos and Nigerian politics.
This is raw, reflective and revealing.
Don’t miss it.

APC will spend less money on media campaign in the next elections, especially the Presidential campaigns. The Ronus battalion and former Obidients are prepared to handle the media war, leaving no serious work for APC media to do.
2027 will be very interesting.
For over a year, the son and wife of Tinubu have been working tirelessly for their father’s reelection in 2027. They’re the first believers of their father’s ambition.
I can’t say the same for any other candidate contesting for the 2027 presidential election.
Don’t shout rigging o.🤝👍
