BREAKING: The United States has just sent another $200 million in aid to Ukraine.

$200 million to Ukraine today and Maui doesn't even get a comment.

As American citizens in Lahaina, Maui suffer from the loss of life and property President Joe Biden has just sent $200M worth of artillery rounds, air defense munitions and other weapons to Ukraine.

Nearly 100 people have been confirmed dead in the Maui fires, over 2000 structures have been destroyed and thousands have been displaced.

JUST IN: CBS News corespondent Catherine Herridge suggests Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Delaware US Attorney David Weiss as special counsel to protect the Biden family by blocking Weiss from testifying.

Once the DOJ realized they wouldn't be able to push Hunter Biden's sweetheart deal through the finish line, the DOJ quickly sprung into action.

As suggested by Herridge, Weiss was appointed to "delay a resolution on the Hunter Biden matter" and to also stop Weiss from testifying before Congress.

The situation in West Africa so far:

- A delegation from Mali and Burkina Faso arrived in Niamey, Niger's capital, to express military support for Niger's new government. These two countries raised the state of the army to high combat, and announced that they will fight side by side with Niger.

-Nigeria and Benin are deploying troops on the border with Niger.

-ECOWAS has postponed the deadline for Niger's government to return the French puppet to power.

-The US and France are pushing ECOWAS as hard as possible to attack Niger.

-Russian military transport planes have started landing at the airport in Niamey, on the other hand, US warplanes are landing at the airport in Nigeria.

-Niger has closed its airspace and France has suspended all flights to Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso.

-Impatience is also growing among the Algerians who have announced that they will not allow military intervention in Niger.
