ESMFold2 just open-sourced 1.1 billion protein structures - beating AlphaFold's database by a large margin. @Biohub released the model, the atlas, and the weights. All free and open source.

This is a huge deal. Protein structure prediction used to require massive institutional budgets. Now any lab can download the model and start running it.

Except most can't. Inference over billions of sequences, fine-tuning for disease-specific targets, downstream analysis - that still takes serious GPU hours. Open-source models lower the barrier to zero. Compute raises it right back up.

That's the gap we're building AxonOS to close.

The workload: model training, fine-tuning, embedding generation, benchmarking, and notebook-based experimentation on biological and health-related datasets.
