@bushcamp2 Beautiful animal! Judging by those muscles, I think he could take me in the 40.

Sleep warm on the trail 🏕️ Pack a sleeping bag rated 10° below the forecasted low, and put a closed-cell foam or insulated pad under it. The ground steals heat fast. This pic was my most recent home away from home!

Let’s get OUTSIDE . Fall hiking hits different—crisp air, leaf covered trails, and way fewer mosquitoes. Layer smart, pack those extra socks, and always bring a headlamp for the unexpected longer day. What’s your go-to fall trail snack or gear essential? #FallHiking #HikingTips #GetOutside

Turned a pork loin into something that can be stored in the freezer for a long time.

Salt cure + fridge hang for 5 weeks, then thin slices vacuum sealed.

Simple process if you want cured pork ready to go.

@AreGee55 Exactly! We had a scout leader years ago that forgot a sleeping bag on an outing and claimed that he did just fine with one of these space blankets and extra layer of clothes!

[Eric Butler @Big_EPop]

Let’s get OUTSIDE . Cooler nights are prime for better sleep and clear starry skies. Quick tip: always pack a lightweight emergency bivy or space blanket—it weighs almost nothing but can turn a rough night into a safe one if weather or a delay hits. @US_Parks @Toyota @ToyotaMotorCorp @NatureNPS @CampingWorld @CampingRoadTrip @ParksOregon @NPCA I really enjoyed camping in Congaree (SC) after a day canoeing in the backwater creeks!

@outsidemagazine Great tips! I am a big fan of the dead bugs stretch (#3) for everyday flexibility.

@bushcamp2 If it helps - it’s possible that your camera captured a very beneficial and humanitarian covert operation, and your memory card was taken to preserve op integrity.

@hikingshawty I love the change of seasons in my native state of North Carolina. This post is a great reminder that each season has its own place and its own beauty - thanks for sharing! #GetOutside

This is a great word. Let’s do our part. Pick up those wrappers on the ground when you’re out hiking. Litter isn’t always on purpose - some folks drop things unaware.

Let’s get OUTSIDE . Cooler nights mean better campfire weather. Pro tip: Keep a small bag of dry birch bark or fatwood in your kit—it lights fast even when everything else is damp. What’s your favorite fire-starting hack? #Camping #SurvivalTips #OutdoorLife #FallHiking

My Papa Ned always said, “It is about the Journey”… and what a journey it continues to be ❤️

“One shining Moment” remains my favorite song and will forever send me to a puddle of tears every time I hear it

Thank you @lukebutler0 for capturing it all ❤️

@1guywithms Beautiful work! You should go into business!

[Eric Butler @Big_EPop]

@1guywithms LOL i think Mr. Beaver can work around that! He may even incorporate it into his design!
