A few days ago, I met someone I hadn't seen in years.
We did the usual catch-up.
"How far?" "How's work?" "Everything good?"
Then came the question everyone asks these days...
"So... what are you doing now?"
I gave my answer.
They nodded politely, smiled, and immediately started telling me about someone our age who's already "making it."
At first, I laughed it off.
But on my way home, I kept thinking about it.
It's funny how social media and random conversations can make you feel like you're behind, even when you're actually making progress.
Nobody posts the failed interviews. Nobody posts the loans. Nobody posts the sleepless nights or the days they almost gave up.
Everyone uploads the highlight. Then we compare it to our behind-the-scenes.
Anyway, I got home, ate my rice, drank cold water, and remembered that life isn't a race... especially when everyone is secretly asking Google for directions.
What's the most unintentionally insulting question someone has asked you? 😂

11 years ago, I agreed to become a second wife because a man convinced me his first marriage was practically over.
Today, after 11 years and two children, I still live in my father's house😭💔
His first wife gets the husband.
I get excuses.
The first matchday of the 2026 World Cup is complete. Confederation performance after the first 24 matches:

CONCACAF: 6M (2W-1D-3L) - 38.9%

He says no.
So tell me: if a husband can emotionally abandon a wife for years, refuse to treat her fairly, and still refuse to let her leave, what exactly is she supposed to do?
At what point does patience become self-destruction?

🚨Bruno Fernandes on how Portugal treats Cristiano Ronaldo inside the national team:
🗣️ “People always ask me what Cristiano Ronaldo is like inside the Portugal camp. The truth is, for us, he is much more than just our captain or our biggest star.
He is the player who carried Portuguese football to places nobody thought possible.
He gave this country belief.
He gave this country trophies.
And he inspired an entire generation of players.
When Cristiano walks into the dressing room, everybody notices.
Not because he demands attention, but because of the respect he has earned over more than twenty years at the highest level.
There have been games where players were exhausted, struggling physically, but the moment Cristiano needed support, everyone found extra energy.
I’ve seen teammates run the length of the pitch to defend him.
I’ve seen players stand up for him in difficult moments because they know everything he has done for Portugal.
People outside football may not understand it, but when you share a dressing room with Cristiano, you don’t just want to win for Portugal.
You also want to win for him.
For many of us, seeing him lift another trophy would be something special because we know how much he has sacrificed for this country.
And honestly, inside the Portugal dressing room, Cristiano isn’t treated like a superstar.
He’s treated like a legend.
A player who changed the history of Portuguese football forever.
For many Portuguese players, Cristiano Ronaldo is as close to football royalty as we will ever see.”

The husband is white. The baby was born with darker skin.
Instead of celebrating a new life, his parents rejected their own grandchild. 💔
How does skin color still matter more than family in 2026?
Some people don’t just enter your life they soften it. They make ordinary days feel like something worth smiling about, and suddenly peace doesn’t feel boring anymore, it feels like home. 🤍
🚨Roberto Martínez full press conference highlights
“It made no sense at all to take off Cristiano Ronaldo, who is the best goalscorer in history, off the field when we were looking for goals.
For us in moments like this, the experience of Cristiano in the box is important. The way that he attracts defenders is important, the way that we can use the space is important.
And every player has a responsibility or a piece of quality on the pitch. And clearly when you look for goals, you need to have Cristiano.”
On the match and mentality:
I already said yesterday that being able to say you’ll win the World Cup is probably an emotion that doesn’t help you win games.
Today I think the hardest thing is to start the game well. We did that we started very, very well. The level, the control, the arrival at the goal, scoring the goal… which is not the moment where normally the emotion of scoring a goal helps a lot to continue controlling the game and try to score the second goal. It had the opposite effect.
It was an effect of trying to keep possession of the ball. We got to the goal, and we gave Congo the opportunity to reorganize their defensive structure, set up a counter-attack, and we lost a lot of depth. That helped Congo.
Congo scores from a set piece — I’ve already mentioned that Congo works very well on set pieces and quick counter-attacks, and this happens in football.
The players’ attitude was extraordinary. We tried to change the attack pattern. We get to the goal more often, but not at the level we need with the quality we have.
That’s part of both games in the World Cup. I’ve seen games like this where the opponent takes advantage and wins the game. Our focus, our attitude, our effort allows us to tie the game. One goal, one disallowed goal. We tried until the end. Very important aspects like the attitude and effort of all the players allow us to build towards the second game.”
On Ronaldo leaving the pitch quickly:
“Sorry for asking, but Cristiano Ronaldo was also involved, and it was the first game. I think it was a time when we didn’t yet have the FIFA habits.
In this World Cup, we have eight players doing flashes. We still have the habit of what we need to do at the end of the game, go into the locker room, go to the photo session, and stay on the pitch.
Well, we’re all sad, but we’ll try to get back into the habit quickly so we can all be together as a group.”
On the game model and criticism:
“We need to improve, we need to be very self-critical, to evaluate the game. Your assessment is a 96-minute evaluation. The game isn’t like that in the moments before the goal, after the goal, when we start the second half, there are doubles, leagues, spouses, where we look for different opponents.
So our responsibility is to evaluate the game, be self-critical, and improve. The process I already mentioned, which is the World Cup group stage, and we continue. I strongly believe in what we can do.”
Reporter: “Cristiano touched the ball 25 times. It’s one of the lowest numbers ever… What is the role of the striker in Portugal’s game, which is characterized by a lot of ball possession and a lot of rotation?”
Martínez: “In our game structure, the striker needs to have a lot of discipline. A lot of discipline that is, staying in the defensive line, behind the central defenders, opening up spaces.”
