We saw how quickly the protest movement escalated. The number of (mainly young) Ukrainians protesting was clearly stagering, streets were full and the government had to act.

People as well as many soldiers openly called for Sirkyi to be dismissed and many want Fedorov back. The movement is growing so fast that Zelensky had to act. We already saw signals that there are discussions about a possible change in the general staff, as well as the possible return of Fedorov.

With protests all over the country, Zelensky cannot close his eyes. This shows how civil society, even during a war, is playing an important role.

Russian oligarchs are massively moving capital out of the country

Kremlin-linked billionaires understand perfectly well that Russia under Putin’s “wise” leadership is heading to the bottom like the Titanic. This process can no longer be stopped.

Oligarchs close to the authorities fear a mass seizure of assets, as the economy is cracking under pressure and money has to come from somewhere. That means businesses will have to be squeezed or stripped of their assets.

This is a clear indicator of the real situation in the country. When even those closely connected to the authorities start getting nervous, it means things are heading toward a major collapse.
