Here's my first $150 gig for this year, the lowest I've charged in a while for a website.
Everyone on this app is a "high earner" claiming they won't touch a project for less than $1,000. But nobody will show you the day they take a low budget. Nobody wants to talk about the grind or the strategy behind it. Here is how and why I took the job.
The result? Two of his author friends saw the site, fell in love with the quality, and are now negotiating with me to revive their dead websites.
If you're turning down lower gigs just because of "guru" advice on X, you might be blocking your own breakthroughs. Sometimes you take the gig for the network, not just the net worth. Secure the asset, build the momentum, and scale.

The client had a tight budget, but after researching him, I realized he was a strategic asset with a massive network in the author space. Instead of walking away, I locked in a $150 build + a $50/mo maintenance retainer for the next year.
I delivered an elite, premium Website anyway: https://t.co/I45yzjGTEO
If you can finish a thing in a day, never say you will finish it in a week when writing a project proposal. I used AI to write most of my proposal, and it follows a specific template. I got so good at my job that what usually took weeks now takes a maximum of a week, and what took a week now takes just days.
I got a gig from this client, sent the project proposal, secured the gig, received 60% of the payment, and delivered the project in 3 days. She noted that I had put 14 days in the proposal, which was one reason she thought the price was fair. Now that I delivered in days, she feels I cheated her.
I explained that the old me would have taken 14 days or more and then asked for extra time to review and make corrections, but now I finish in a few days. She can still review for corrections if she finds any faults. Most of the changes she pointed out were about how she imagined it, changing colors here, contrast there, and the like.
I’m all about quality work and customer satisfaction. If I didn’t deliver everything in the proposal, that is what she should worry about, not the time taken. She said she feels cheated, no longer wants to retain me as her website maintenance guy, and won’t pay the remaining 40%. I just laughed and learned another lesson.
@Raynerdtech Exactly know your clients no go provide solutions way the client go Dey look you like you be thief even when you’re only helping them hehehe 😂
That's bad, but I wouldn’t charge a client for such a thing. I'd rather charge for the full project. The same project I charge a Nigerian client 500k for is what I charge a USA client $1000 for. The Nigerian client thinks it’s too expensive, while the USA one thinks about the value he’s getting. Working with people abroad has taught me one thing: charge and deliver. Whether you charge too much or too low won’t determine your relationship with them. What truly matters is delivering quality work and having good communication skills. As long as they see value for the pay, my brother, you’re good
Like, tell me this is a joke. Every man always protects his children, so why is his own different? Using your child to beg for a suspect you don’t even know. The lady should be careful. How did she miss all the red flags? I’m sure the husband would have done a lot of similar stuff while they were dating for him to even slap his wife in public. Only God knows how many beatings she would have been enduring.
The money I paid to use it, the prompt I gave it to generate the code, and my time reviewing the code to ensure it is safe, secure, and has no wrongly fetched APIs... If all the information needed to found a business is already on the internet and one Google search away, then what makes you the founder of that business? As much as you hate it, AI pulls data from the web to reuse, just like you would with Google search, but it makes your work easier by searching and writing the code for you. @grok please tell them if I’m wrong.
If Spotify had convinced itself Apple Music already existed, we wouldn’t have had all the yearly wraps we love from Spotify. There’s nothing new under the earth, but the way you reinvent it is all that matters.
I have a friend who gets at least 5 gigs on X. As a matter of fact, he gets gigs on a daily basis. Once you know how to position yourself for opportunities, trust me, they’ll find you. You need to optimize your social media with good SEO, write your bio with JavaScript, and restructure your whole social media presence. If he can do it, you can do it. I’m hosting a class on how to land your first gig from any social media account with Judy $1m. You can DM me.
@guzu_p@TobilobaIts@Donjaytrix001 I think you both should check the dictionary to know the meaning of “gladdens (It gladdens my heart).” Then come back here to have a conversation like men do.
The truth is, since you already have a plan for your wedding without depending on any external gift, and if your ex doesn’t send the money the wedding will still hold, you have to choose between your man and your ex. If he asks you to cut communication with your ex, he’s right, and if you want to keep communication with your ex, you’re also right… But know this: cheating doesn’t happen all of a sudden; it starts small from harmless conversations.
@guzu_p@Donjaytrix001 What does “it gladdens my heart” mean? Check your dictionary, reread the tweet again, and come back for a nice conversation with me.
No matter how greedy you claim she is, never wish death on anyone. It’s very bad to wish death on people because of who they are. She never committed any crime; all she wanted was a soft life. If you hate her for that, leave her alone. Death is never a good lesson for someone who never committed any crime.
