Excellent Bihar Diwas celebration organised by Bihari Community of Scotland which is led by predominantly women.
Great to see women succeeding and being active in our communities.
Good performances and delicious food. Well done 👏
I was so proud to have the Bihari Community of Scotland host the 2024 Bihari Diwas in my Ward this evening.
It was a warm and welcoming event where we enjoyed Bihari culture, history and (great) food. Many of the people there have never been to India, but the cultural link is strong nonetheless.
If you don't know, and I didn't, Bihar is an Indian state 🇮🇳. It is 25% bigger than Scotland, but has a population of £130m!
